Hello All,
I am a newbie here, been reading this forum for a while now. I was wondering if I could get some input from you folks about an issue I had this evening. I have 3 tween chickens that I let free range during the day, but I still keep them in a pen inside at night. Normally at 6:30 or 7:00 they are at the door ready to come in. This evening they came to the door as usual but were hesitant to come in (they normally come straight in and run straight to their pen) and they were also very skittish about going in the pen and normally they hop right in. They usually eat and then settle right down, but this evening they were all over the place making pitiful sounds. I started crying because I couldn't understand why they were so upset and it upset me that they were so upset. I can't think of anything that would have caused this to happen. I've never had an issue until today. I know it's crazy that I am still keeping them in but these are to be pet chickens and my other chickens are not at all accepting these into their brood so I can't house them together. Sorry my post is so long winded. By the way I don't know if this helps any but there is 1 sizzle and 2 silkies. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
