My lead hen, Pinky, always seems to act like she's the male in the
flock. Then, I started to see her try to mate with the other chickens!!

One of my girls used to do that... it's a dominance thing. She would climb onto the other hens, grab their neck and give it a bit of a yank to put them in their place. Kind of like saying "I'm top girl here and don't you forget it!"
