Hello. I've noticed a couple of my new layers ( either Moss Eggers or OE's) are laying these tie-dye looking eggs. I think it's pretty. Will this be the natural color of the egg or is this caused by something in particular? Thanks
From my experience with olive eggers the color can change throughout the season. I had one at would lay dark green eggs and occasionally gray colored eggs.
Speckles can come and go, but generally if they lay speckled eggs they continue to do so.
The color change from top to bottom is normal from some. A very dear member who is no longer with us used to say the printer ran out of ink. She was a wise woman. Eggs are laid fat end first, so the smaller end got less ink.
