Not precisely about egglaying, although it is related.
This is a Bielefelder pullet, 11 months old. I have noticed for some time that her eggs tend to go bad very quickly, within days in some cases.
Her eggs are very long and thin, and right from the beginning they have had odd wrinkles on the outside.
The following pictures are of a formation I have started seeing on her eggs in the last couple of weeks. There's a wrinkle on the end, which acts like a pop-out.
It's visible on the inside and if hit just right it pops loose.
Just something interesting.
