Odd Japanese Game Show That Will Make You Go WTH(Heck)?

Let me explain this link. My kids and I are using the rosetta stone along with a Japanese grammar book to teach ourselves Japanese. I thought that I could find some links on youtube to Japanese game shows for the day when we eventually can understand a little.

I found this clip and it was so strange that I decided to post it.

In it, some Japanese men are observing another man speak English. If any of them laugh at the way he speaks something happens to them. I won't say what. But oh my, it looks painful!

Watching this I had a what the heck moment and I thought that I would share it with you all.

The comment sections to the video says that the man speaking English is actually a comedian named Jimmy-Ohnishi who is purposely messing up.

I just saw somthing on TV about thoes shows. They said that all of the contestants are usually comedians or famous people. Also that no one ever cares about winning, its all about getting a big reaction from the crowd. Alot of them are torture gameshows, I was watching one and the contestants had to move like five huge live squids from one tank to another... with their mouths. Pretty weird stuff but also funnier then our gameshows!
