I have a feeling this might be valgus but I’m not entirely sure - thought to ask for second opinion since this appears to be a bit different than what I’ve experienced so far. (She’s about a week old)

Her one leg just turns out at an odd angle - we had tried splitting her legs which really helped to stabilize her, she’s able to walk (waddle) and she’s eating/drinking fine on her own - I just want to know what this is and what I could possibly do to help her out more.

Can you feel of the joint to see if the tendon is slipped (Perosis)?

You may be right that she's suffering from a leg bone deformity.
I’ve tried but I don’t think anything feels off?
Is there anything we can do to help her? It’s gotten worse today and we’re trying to brace her legs again

It’s honestly quite sad to watch when out attempts to help just seem to be making her mobilization worse 😭

Sometimes splinting or trying to fix an issue can make it worse.

Can you get updated photos of her and the legs without the red light?

Often as they get older, leg deformities can get worse, it is sad :hugs

Been a few days, BUT She’s actually been doing quite well for the time being with the splinting and it seems to be helping a bit - going to get her some vitamin b to hopefully help her out a little bit more as I’ve seen after some research

Her foot still turns out, but she’s no longer dragging it behind her and is using it, which is MUCH better than before

Using the most recent picture I have, even if it’s really an awful angle lol

That is looking better!
Are you going to continue splinting and adjust it as she grows?

Thank you for the update.
Ended up taking her to the vet for a professional look - it IS a slipped tendon, thought to have hatched with it, much more like a deformity and not particularly fixable - the vet did say she is not in any pain from it (nor has she shown any signs of pain either) though which is a huge relief

However even with the tendon, she does use the leg and lifts it now as she walks instead of dragging it behind her, she also eats and drinks fine and moves/keeps up with the others while wearing the hobble (and without it too actually) SO yes: thinking about keeping it hobbled as she grows and just seeing how she does for now just not going to brace it as we have during the night as we now know that will probably be the best we’ll get it now. BUT Physical therapy to keep that leg as strong as it can be with some daily vitamin b is something we’ll keep up on with for hopefully the best results we can get. Wont be our first handicapped bird either, so I have some faith in her :)

If she ends up beginning to suffer, we’ll do what we have to, but as long as she isn’t suffering, happy and healthy, and isn’t particularly behind in the sense I want to give her a chance at life

living her best life for now, ransacking the garden and on adventures with her silly siblings ✨
