Hello!
I have a little Porcelain D'Uccle named Snowflake. She's about 7 months old now. She's part of a current flock of 11. 1 bantam rooster, 5 large hens and 4 other bantams. They all run together during the day on our 6 acre hobby farm. But, majority of the time when we go out to feed or spend time with them she's about 2 acres over by herself. She tends to wander alone unless her best chicken buddy "Puffy Cheeks" comes over and encourages her to follow her back to the flock. Even then she is often hesitant. She also doesn't run. She kind of half runs with a hop. We've inspected her feathered feet and and legs multiple times and there's nothing wrong with her.
So, basically is lone behavior like this normal?? I've never owned one of this breed. She's very sweet and friendly toward us. She just isn't aggressive. Often times she stands back and doesn't compete for food with the others. Puffy Cheeks brings her tidbits.
Any feedback on anything I should be concerned about?
Thanks!!
