Odd Mass Inside Egg - Picture Included

Hello,
I looked under that common egg problems thread and tried searching this, but was unable to find an answer.

I was cooking the other morning, cracked and egg into the bowl and it contained in a small "jellybean" shaped mass along with the yolk. It was extremely firm, almost like a stiff rubber ball.

I have a small mixed flock of Rhode Island Reds and Australorps. I'm wondering if anyone can shed some insight as to what this mass is and what may have caused it to form.

Do you have any roos? Kinda looks like it might of been fertile

I don't think it's an embryo.
I would have removed, inspected and photographed it more, then cut that in half to see what inside.

Yes, I have two and yes this egg was fertile. Also, I used it the day it was laid.

I was pressed for time, as I had to get to work, however if I ever come across anything like this in the future I'll be sure to document/inspect it further.

I'm suspecting that it might have been a lash egg that was encapsulated within another egg....or maybe an immature ova.
If you could see the 'bullseye' of the fertilized yolk away from the 'blob', then it wasn't an embryo.
