Hi guys. I have a 9 month old silkie rooster and every now and then when I approach him, he'll squat very low to the ground and then starts moving his feet while shifting his body back and forth, like he's grinding into the ground. It's not his rooster dance and he usually doesn't move from his spot.
Sometimes he'll make little sounds while he does this and sometimes he'll be silent. Does anyone know what he's doing? He only does it for me.

Maybe he is being submissive towards you and is trying to show you that he understands his place and you are the dominant one in the flock? I’m not sure but a video will help. You can upload a video on YouTube and send the link here. If you can’t record a video it’s fine.
I can try and record a video next time he does it. I'd be surprised if that were the case since he loves to attack me. My favorite thing to do is pick him up afterwards and snuggle him in front of the hens. He gets really embarrassed lol

I bet your Rooster likes you. Yours isn't a Rooster just yet but close. Maybe hormonal issues.

I've never saw this among our Rooster at all. Ours flew in the air and brushed his wings on my back and the back of my knees a year ago.
