odd silkies

soo......today i got some baby chicks and they got all the signs of a silkie except they all only got 4 toes so are they counted as silkies or are they a mixed breed

Silkies can end up with 4 toes and they are considered pet quality, not show quality. However, they make excellent pets and are still silkies if the only difference is the toes. So it would be considered a chicken you would not want to breed if you are trying to start your own silkie line.

Silkies are supposed to have 5 toes, though- you are right.

Is the skin blue/black? Are there feathers on the feet? Are they bantams?
