Odd sleeping positions

Is it normal for chicks to lay in weird positions? My chicks are laying their necks and stuff down right in front of them flat on the floor. I’ve gotten a couple scares where I thought they were dead but when I checked on them I just woke the poor things up. Thanks!

Yes, totally normal. That's the classic chick trick they all come out the the egg knowing how to do - sprawl out and look dead to scare the human.

My chicks still do that at six weeks. It's adorable.
I still have to keep waking them up to check they're ok. But yeah. It's perfectly normal.

This group was by far the funniest. After these chicks, most were raised by hens, but this was the silliest sleeping group of them all.

It's so cute when they use eachother as pillows.
I've also had them fall backwards asleep.

We just got our chicks a few days ago. I thought the same thing a couple times but then they hop up and immediately run around
