I let my does have their litters in burrows and so I do not keep track of the kits at all, I saw this little guy at the mouth of the burrow today and it appeared as if he was covered in dirt. I watched as he moved around and tried to nurse from his mom but no dirt fell off, I reached in to investigate and I was trying to be sneaky because the youngsters have never seen me before and are usually scared so they duck back into the burrow, this one did not, he ran up to me like I was another rabbit and sniffed me, he then let me pick him up. I have only had 2 bunnies act like this before, both of them were mentally challenged or something because they did the same thing to other animals, like my dogs. Unfortunately both of those ones died because of their friendliness towards other animals, one was killed by a dog and another was killed by a mink... I call them Pig rabbits because the first one was given to me by a neighbor who had named him Pig. Both of the other "Pig" rabbits were bucks. Anyways, besides being a Pig this boy stands out to me because of his color, I am sure there are other rabbits with a color like this but I personally have never seen one so I wanted to share. Also, Pig the 3rd is much bigger than his littermates, which I find kind of odd...
