Oddly shaped eggs

We have the Dominique Breed and one of the hens is laying thin shelled eggs and they are light colored with a rough textured shell. Today I noticed that the egg albumin was like water. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question.

If the shells are thin I would think you need more calcium. Are you providing oyster shell? What is the feed?

Hello, Peggy, and welcome to BYC. What point is she at in her laying cycle ? At the beginning or end of a cycle this sometimes happens. Are you feeding an adequate laying ration ?

Corn Scratch and Laying Mash. I give them ground up raw vegetables, some bread crumbs and crushed up egg shells.

Hi, Welcome to BYC!
I would cut out the scratch and bread and only feed her layer feed. These extra treats are likely diluting her diet. Hopefully that will improve the egg quality.
