odds of broody hen hatching bought hatching eggs?

I noticed fertile eggs at Trader Joes (in the refridgerated section with other eggs). Wondering if there is any possibility if these would hatch under a broody hen (for the poster who couldn't get fertile eggs) - it would be intersting to see what hatched.

I think there is a thread for folks that hatch trader Joe's eggs.
Also,I have had succsess putting chicks under broody hens.............
After they have set for a few weeks though.
I put take the eggs out and put the chicks in at night.
Results....very happy hen

I still have not found a feed shop in my area. I have looked around the closest I can find is an hour and a half away. I have a TSC about 30mins away but they are pretty clueless.

What is the going rate for fertile eggs? Just asking because here in September I will have Lots and Lots of fertile eggs...

Ranging from pure Black Copper Marans

Black Australops

Barred Rocks

Buff Orpingtons... I know I paid more for my BC Marans then my other chicks, but does that matter with cost of eggs?

Post an add on your Craigslist farm and garden section. Mine had several last year, folks without a roo who had a hen go broody and wanted to raise chicks. I gave a lady a few eggs--she only wanted four--with the understanding I'd get half the chicks that hatched. Only one survived and I'm sure it was a roo--I just let her keep that one lol. Anyway, just post you'd like fertile eggs to hatch. Or check adds of folks selling eggs--many of them will have fertile eggs.

The extension service is an agency tied to your state land grant university that answers agricultural based questions. They may not know every detail under the sun, but they have access to a lot of experts and research and have a lot of contacts. They are usually active in 4-H. The agent should know somebody that has chickens with fertile eggs in your area.
