Holy cow! I’ve been lied to! I just looked them up and mine do look just like Cuckoo Marans!

I got them from TSC so I wouldn’t be surprised. One year I got a “Silkie” hen who had no crest, a single comb, and laid brown eggs
I wouldn’t be disappointed though, they’re still some of my best layers
