I've got 3 serama and 3 OEGB chicks, all 4 weeks old. It took me a while to discover which were which breed, until the OEGB grew ostrich legs 😂.

Anyway, this is what I think I have:

serama 1 - whitish, cockerel
OEGB 2 - salmon and black, pullet
serama 3 - black, brown and white, cockerel (?)
OEGB 4 - black, brown and white, cockerel
serama 5 - dark brown, cockerel
OEGB 6 - partridge type, pullet

No.3 seems to have a redder comb than the suspected pullets but smaller than the other cockerels.

I wish I'd got more than 2 pullets out of 6 chicks.

Can you give me your guesses on sex too please, and also tell me the colours if you can. I'd love to know what they will look like when grown.

I've labelled the photos to help.

TIA

Thanks. I think I've been cursed! lol

Last year I got 5 cockerels out of 6 chicks.

Now, with the other 4 chicks I've got as well as this lot, that's possibly 7 cockerels out of 10 chicks. Cursed, I say!
It happens to all of us sometimes. I know that's not much comfort, though. If older, sexed pullets are available in your area it might be worth the extra price.

I've done that before but they weren't very tame and these are pets, so I want to raise them and handle them. Plus all my hens are broody so...!

I see the logic, but karma/luck/probability, I thought this year was my pullet year!

They all look liked they're mixed for color. I'll give what I think it the closest matches.

1 is close to Colombian in appearance, but genetically he may not be Colombian.

2 has really mixed coloring. Maybe wheaten x black breasted red.

3 also has mixed coloring. I imagine he'll look something like a golden duckwing in color.

4 looks close to wheaten

5 looks similar to brown red

6 is maybe wheaten x black breasted red.

The OEGBs don't look like purebreds to me. Maybe some Serama in them as well.
