okay, so i'm really new to breeding chickens (besides the kind where you go on vacation and come back to a broody sitting on 15+ mixed breed eggs, two weeks in!

) anyway, if i were to cross, say a partridge OEGB and a red pyle OEGB, what would the chicks look like? would there be some percentage of each color and would it be different for the cockerals and pullets? or would the two colors mix? is there anything else i should know?

thanx in advance!

Sounds like a color mix to me. Once you mix them like that, all you have is mutts anyway. Mixed OEGB`s. Then what`r you gonna do with them? You have mutts from then on. Best to keep both breeds(colors?) pure and be proud of them. Breed them to make the breed better by selecting the best examples you have to breed together. Keep them seperate and go for the best. Just my 2 cents........Pop

25% Pullets, white patterned gold duckwing
25% Pullets, black patterned gold duckwing
25% Cockerels, white patterned gold duckwing
25% Cockerels, black patterned gold duckwing

what about a partridge crossed with a spangled, a silver duckwing crossed with a spangled, and a silver duckwing crossed with a red pyle? (those are the color varieties of OEGB's i have

. the red pyle and spangled are roosters and the other two are the hens)
