I went down to do my night time check and found one of my week old chicks had somehow gotten out of the brooder and was under the brooder table. I don't know how long she was down there, but she was really cold and covered in dust when my daughter got her out from under it. We immediately wrapped her up in an old shirt, brought her upstairs, and put her in a room with a heater going. I tried to give her a drop of poly-vi-sol, but I don't know if she actually got any in. I then crushed up a bit of food, put it in some water, and tried to feed her through a dropper. She did take some and has since had a poo which was a little runny. Now, though, I'm noticing that she keeps shaking her head almost as if she has a constant twitch. She didn't do that before her misadventure and it worries me. She is warm now and chirping up a storm, but I don't know why she keeps shaking her head. Any ideas as to why? As I'm typing this, it seems to be getting even more pronounced. She just can't stop. What should I do or try? Please help.

You mention she was dusty- my chickens have exhibited head shaking when they've gotten a beakful while dust bathing. It's possible she's got dust in her nostrils or in the back of her throat. Was there anything she could have hit her head on? that would be my only other thought and it's a lot worse than dust in the nose. Best of luck!
