Good afternoon everyone! I have a 1 year old rooster. I was told that he is a Serama, but I think that he looks more like an OEGB. I would love to hear what everyone thinks! And Thank you.
I personally do not think that he is a serama mainly because he has long legs, the tail is different that that of a serama cockerel, and the earlobes on a serama are red whereas the earlobes on your chicken are white. Also, how big is he and how much he weighs can also determine what breed he is.
That's what I thought too, PixieChick. The white earlobes, the dark legs and beak. He is a little over a pound. I haven't weighed him in a few months, but last time his weight was around 1lb, 4oz. He doesn't have that 'Serama stance' either. When he is in the grass he keeps his tail up, but when it's time to cuddle or sleep, the tail goes right down.
