OEGB...what size is normal? Can there be runts?

I recently pulled a cull AGB near-yearling pullet off of free range and she weighed 14oz. That puts her in range of B serama.

Well, a snake ate her we lost 3 of our smallest birds (2 were 8 week old standards) and this one, over a week. My daughter is so sad. I have caught 3 large snakes in my coop in the last 2 months!

Do you know how they are getting inside and is there a way you can prevent it?

That's so sad! I hope she rests in tiny chicken heaven my friend. We need those snakes gone stat!

They can come through the rafters in our barn ceiling...I've witnessed that happen. Eurgh!
Also, found same #4 this week! 5+ feet. Yuck. Found it about 5 feet from a nest of eggs in the coop.
