Do they do good at free range? Can they fly good?

I have an OEG Bantam hen that was living wild in a physician's office park, and I was asked if I wanted to catch her & add her to my flock. She'd been there about a year they said. She had built a nest and had a couple of dozen eggs in the office's large generator. I brought her home and she has really tamed down; I can easily pick her up now. She is a beautiful Brown/Red hen.

I jokingly say, "she can fly like a quail." She'll fly way up high in a tree if frightened. She roosts in a large ligustrum bush by my house. She went broody over the summer & I let her hatch out 2 standard size eggs-- she raised them on her own. The chicks were bigger than she was at about 1 month old but continued chirping & following their "mama." One was a pullet, and I kept her. As big as the pullet is now (and laying herself), she'll still get up in that bush with her "mama."

The OEG frequently flys out of the run and forages in the yard and neighbor's yard. She'll fly back in when she is ready. OEGs are very self-reliant. I have noticed that she is very predator savvy too.
