For now they are attacking me only lol , i guess im going to have to invest in some gloves! They are feisty! The rest of the crew is pretty layed back, there is 2 roosters living with 6? hens and then a rooster and hen that are alone. 2 of my hens appear to be self blue, is it possible that this porcelain flock made 2 self blues? They dont have any mottling.

I don`t know a lot about these varieties. I have bb reds. but I be leave they are dilute genes that don`t always bread bread true. I think this is the case for most of the blue varieties. including the splash that aalbury has.
Ok since I have 5 undubbed roosters Im thinking of no time like the present to do this...question for anyone that might know, can i use silver nitrate to clot the dubs? like i do with puppy tails, when I did pupppy tails i used silver nitrate and covered with super glue for bandage.

My daughter is queen of getting hacked up, unless she does it right, index finger between the legs, thumb and the rest outside and other hand over top of the wings. The wee ones are slippery though! Not as easy to turn around!

Splash doesn't breed true? Sounds like an weird gene mix up.....I need a black pullet or hen to go in with him.....

Use styptic powder... but I would try to find a breeder near to show you how. It can be bloody and you want it to look right. If its not done well it will count against you at show. Also if your not showing the cock it does not need to be done. There is a small risk of the bird dieing of shock or blood loss and experience makes the risk smaller. If you can`t find a breeder go to a show I`m sure you will be able to find some one to help you there.
