oegbs with black tongues

I just lost a bantam white silkie about 10 days old, was running around fine fell over and was gone in less than an hour, and it's tongue also had mysteriously turned black. it was still in the brooder pen , inside the house. the other 6 chicks seem ok but one has taking to standing with her beak in the corner, there is no bullies at least while we are watching, they have plenty of room to either get under the heat lamp or move out of it and seem to be doing it as needed. Their droppings all seem to be normal. We change the pine shavings every 2 -3 days and sanitize the brooder, they are put in a new box while we do that. have had them a week now.

Anyone know what is causing this?

Was on medicated starter feed and a water feeder , bedding is shaved pine

These chicks were from Cal Ranch
