Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

The Lunarwing was pretty, she seemed smart and tough and sarcastic, but Dred knew how hard it must be for her right now. The Den was hard for him to adjust to even when he’d been raised by awful humans his whole life. Mr. Maud had never allowed him mud, never talked to him or cared In the slightest. And Mr. Hans never cared either. Neither did any of the others, his previous “masters” pretty much sucked.
Mr. Tobias didn’t seem to suck. Infact, as Dred lay there with his head on his front talons watching the pretty Lunarwing, Sol and Mr. Tobias talk, he seemed like a great guy. If only he’d get a lil bit of mud…
“So Shrike, Kopak? You think Mr. Tobias is for real about getting us out?”
(I think y’all own Shrike and Kopak…? @-Kiwi- @_-Captain BRM-_ )
Kapok turned from where he had been, rummaging through the freezer again, to look at Dred curiously. He hadn't really been listening to the Lunarwing and Tobias, but Dred's question had piqued his interest. He glanced back at the freezer before slowly closing it and sitting down on the ground, turning back toward Tobias and the Lunarwing, his ears pricked excitedly.

uuuuuugggghhh I was so close to finishing adding all of today's rp, like so close and then I accidentally closed the tab and--UUUGGGGHHH it's 12 AM I can't lol :th

After a whole year in the Den, suffering a dozen captors and hundreds of defeats in the arena, Shrike wasn’t sure what to believe; especially when it came to Tobias and his weird decisions.
“I dunno.” He said flatly, staring at the man’s back as he conversed with the LunarWing and Sol. The SolarWing had finally gotten what he deserved, Shrike thought, though he didn’t feel any sort of triumph in the fact.
“Something feels off.. I don’t trust this guy,” he said, “he can’t be all he says he is. His ‘ole nice guy act has got to be some sorta front. Nobody acts like this in the Den, I’m tellin ya.”

Eclipse couldn't stop her jaw from dropping in surprise. "But... but how? No one escapes this place--it's the Scorpion Den. That human, even she couldn't get away, and she's not even a dragon. It's not just dragons that are stuck here. It's anyone who understands them, anyone who wants to save them." She lowered her voice bending her head down toward him. "Tobias they would kill you. Just like the rest of us." She paused for a long moment, staring at the ground, her shoulders falling with discouragement. Eclipse glanced at the other three, her mind turning, and she hesitated before continuing. "Do you even know a way out?"

@_-Captain BRM-_
"Well, yes, I don't think you understand, there are other human cities out there- it's not just the SD, and though it's created to trap people in the loop hole, I can get out. Heck, I'm Tobias, I could do anything around here and it'd fly- except... take Sol out of SD. And Roe.. I don't know much about her past- but it's been rough. She's in debt- no way could she get out of here. We're all just slaves to this- and now we're too far in to have any sort of perspective."
He cleared his throat and met Eclipse's gaze, "Escape isn't impossible. It's stupid close- but not impossible. Those dragons you were with- do you think they'd help if we had a plan? I don't know who else I'd trust around here. No human, that's for sure."

Btw, Bloodmoon has a scar that wraps around his neck from an iron collar. Thought you ought to know...

Bloodmoon smelled disease, horrible, rancid disease. He felt like he could break the bars to his cage, he didn't care what he did or how he did it, he wanted to be free. Even if he was only free as long as a fight lasted, it would be worth it.

The world around him seemed as if it didn’t notice him, Sunspot wouldn’t answer, Neoma couldn’t tell him what he wanted to hear and the humans had locked him away in the very place his son was. He blinked hard, trying to remember.
Was it really him? A dream? No, no it had to be him. His voice, it sounded….older. Was it him?

The Seawing to his side was drinking for what looked like the first time in a while, his scales looked like they’d been dehydrated. The humans seemed intent on torturing them, especially the Seawing. If any of those humans tried that on him, they be missing an arm or more in two seconds flat.
Helios sunk to the bottom of his cage slowly, looking around in desperation. His face fell and he could barely hold back the sorrow. After all this, all the years of planning and traveling and scheming, getting his mate Queen Lumos to allow him to leave.
Wasted.
He was now closer to his son then he’d been in a long time and yet, it felt like this could be the end. Fate torturing him far worse then any human could, a fate of never seeing his son again. Truly knowing he’d seen his son and knowing he was alive, yet being unable to help him.
Oh Sol. I’m so…so sorry.
Crest looked over at the king. He sunk to the ground slowly. Crest couldn't help but feel bad for him. Whatever the story was, he knew that the one named Sol was here and he didn't even acknowledge his father. I can't imagine how that feels. He tried imagining if he saw Minami and she didn't recognize or even acknowledge him. His heart was pained and he looked back at the king. He lowered he head in his direction, "Your Majesty, we'll get out of here...don't worry," he tried to say reassuringly. He wasn't good at it, but the despair in the king's face brought Crest to try and help.
"So how did you all come to the Scorpion Den anyway?" Crest asked looking at all of them.

Blackout's question jerked Whitestar out of his silent spiral into darker memories. Get ahold of yourself, she thought furiously. He turned to look at the two calm, colorful dragons. He knew their scales could turn invisible, and they possessed a deadly poison that could probably kill a human on contact. But he wasn't sure if these Rainwings would be able to handle the Den. It was a dangerous and sickening place. But there wasn't much to risk in telling them anyway. He glanced at Blackout and gave the slightest nod.

Bamboo held his nose, feigning offense. "How rude!" He said haughtily, and Apple translated, rolling her sightless eyes. "Speaking of rude, you could've been a little more subtle to the Icy dragon over there!" She hissed at Bamboo.
Hearing Whitestar in the background reassure her, she tried to calm her scales again. "It's not the first time you've heard it? That's interesting, maybe that's the difference between truly blind dragons and not blind dragons; blind dragons normally aren't asked because it's so obvious."
Alyssia seemed curious about Apple's eyes, and though she couldn't see her, Apple smiled in her direction.
As Alyssia stepped closer and asked how they were, Apple lowered her head so the human could get a better look. She wasn't unused to others having a curiosity about her eyes, and was actually glad this one at least seemed polite about it.
A few feet away, she heard Whitestar ask, "Are you two... twins?"
Without lifting her head so that Alyssia could keep inspecting her eyes, Apple answered. "Yes we are. We are 20 now, hatched from the same egg."
Bamboo grinned at all of them.
"So- whatcha all been talkin about?" He asked with a chipper tone.
Apple flicked her ears, not scolding her brother for asking- truth was, she was equally curious.
She laughed out loud when Apple translated what Bamboo had said for her. It was nice to be laid back and joking with friends for a change. Alyssia walked up to the rainwing and began examining her eyes. She was surprised that the dragon didn't back away at all and seemed to be allowing her to see her eyes. The milky white was actually pretty and held an aura of kindness in them. She heard the other dragons conversing and tuned her ears to try and understand. Bamboo inquired what they had been talking about and she looked at Blackout and Whitestar to see their reactions to the inquiry. Waiting for this moment, she was excited to finally tell them what she had been thinking about: her plan for the rescue. Not waiting for Whitestar and Blackout, she went ahead and started to explain to Apple, relieved that Apple could understand English.
"So, we were just talking about the place apparently called the Scorpion Den, that scary ol' city out in the desert where they apparently buy and sell dragons. I was trapped there but, somehow, I escaped with the help of another dragon and then I ran into a group of other dragons in the desert and accidentally led a group of nightwings to them. They were all taken captive but I got away. I met Blackwing who was actually in the patrol that fought us but he escaped from them. And, Whitestar here has a friend in the group that we're gonna go save. We were just talking about how we are gonna do it." She grinned mischievously again, "And, I've been brewing a plan to get in and get them." She laughed at herself and looked back at the other three dragons, expecting full well a confused look from the English she was speaking.
"I don't know what y'all were doing before this or where you live and when you need to be home, but we could always use more dragons to help us get in and save them." You would definitely be very helpful, she thought. "Thought, it's totally up to you," she added. "This isn't your fight so you don't have to help us if you don't want to. Though, if you have any information on the Scorpion Den, that would be just as helpful." She smiled at Apple, knowing full well that she couldn't see the smile, but wanting to just to make the other dragons wonder what she had just said, she waited for Apple's response to her story.
