Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Roe gave the SolarWing a strange look, the human clinging to him excitedly. Tears and scapes marred the red dragon's body, fresh blood oozing out with every movement- Roe was surprised he was still standing.
She cocked her head at the silver dragon to her left. "Eclipse? Is all well?" Her eyes landed on the SeaWing, who was also severely injured, but standing. Eclipse must have used the serum.

Tobias rounded the corner, rushing into the lot, "Roe, I-"
He stood motionless for a moment, his mouth open slightly as his eyes locked on Helios.
Quite a few seconds passed.
"August?" Roe said slowly.
Tobias inhaled sharply, "Yeah, yea- yea. S-sorry." He tore his gaze away from Helios, looking as though he were thinking a million other thoughts as he continued, "We need to start.. uhm, moving to the truck yard." He swallowed, his gaze wandering back to the red dragon. "The hall is.. the hall is full."
Roe glanced from the SolarWing, then back to Tobias. "Eclipse? Assist Tobias in moving the dragons to the truck yard. Fracture 2 is stationed there. I will work here with Gables."
Tobias cocked his head at Eclipse, shrugging slightly with an expectant look.
(This part I am RPing happened before this scene with Tobias right here. I am just trying to put everything into order, bear with me)
The Cloud Mountains…rebellion….humans helping….Sol.
Helios’s mind spun in circles, his breathing slowing as he heard the words, “I did see Sol. I spoke with him a bit.”
He was alive! He hadn’t dreamed it that night, and he was ok.
“He fought in the arena-”
His stomach twisted into knots at the mention of it. Horrible images stormed his mind, images of Sol fatally wounded and slowly dying, without ever being rescued or seeing his family after so many years. How could he have let this happen? He was supposed to protect him, but he’d failed. The son of the great king Helios had been trapped here for years, and helios could never get to him. He’d failed as a father to Sol….and to Tasha.
The words coming out of Eclipses mouth seemed to mute as the harsh reality of his sons life for the past several years settled in on him, but then she spoke and he could hear her once again, his face becoming less grave. “But he’s ok. He is recovering. It’s just gonna take awhile..I talked to him and he…he’s a little nervous about seeing you again, but I think everything will turn out ok.” She reassured.
He’s ok, he’s ok…
“Where is he? Can I see him?” He asked, his deep rumbling voice full of worry despite the lunarwings words. A few different dragons ran past him, their wings unbound and flapping slightly as they ran toward their freedom.
“Macaw don’t eat that! You know it’s not for you!” The human atop helios shouted at a small rainwing dragonet who hadn’t left the room yet and was filling his maw with various fruits.
Eclipse shook her head apologetically. "Sol was on one of the first transports out with all of the disabled or impaired dragons. He is already far outside city limits. He is safe now."
She hoped the King wouldn't be too disappointed. The sound of small footsteps sounded in the corridor outside and she glanced over her shoulder as Roe appeared at the lot door.
Eclipse glanced at the large collection of dragons following them, her muscles tensed and the ridge on her spine standing erect. She spotted Helios near the front and she met his gaze, signaling him forward.
"I think the two of us should probably check it out. Helios, can you keep an eye on the dragons here for now?"
She glanced back at Tobias. "What do you think?"

Eclipse called her warping blades back toward her, lining the three weapons in front of her threateningly, not taking her eyes off the trio of dragons.
She couldn't help but feel pity for them. One of them was missing her front talons, standing tenderly on the cutoff nubs and using her wing thumbs for balance. The other one didn't have any wings period, and Eclipse could see the jagged scar on both of his shoulders where they once were.
"We are going to get out of here," she said calmly but firmly. "But if we can't learn to work together long enough to do it, we'll never pull this off." She locked gazes with all three of them, one at a time.
"Are you coming with us or not?"
The RainWing glanced from Eclipse, to his companions, waving them back.
"Are you really leaving? Out- out of the Scorpion Den?" He started hesitantly. "We don't remember our homes. We don't remember our lives. Where do we go?"
Tobias glanced up at Fracture, taking a step towards Owens, who still looked quite panicked, each breath shaky. "I'll take her out to the hall." He whispered, giving Fracture a quick smile as she nodded with a thankful glance.
Owens gently shrugged Tobias off as he reached for her shoulder, taking confident strides to the open door. He followed her out, trying to catch Eclipse's look and failing.

Josh, dude, Tobe and Helios could get in a convo out in the hall regarding Sol if you wanted.

Sunspot became unaware of the passage of time. She stared out at the truckyard, flattening her ears againsy her skull to try to block out the incessant buzzing from the artificial lights, which didn’t turn off. Sunspot tracked the sun to judge the time of day, so this completely threw her off.

She was alone now, Neoma, Helios, and Crest all having gone elsewhere. Sunspots tail flicked nervously as she awaited whatever her uncertain future was.

"Does it matter where you go next, as long as it's anywhere but here?" Eclipse said, glancing between the three of them. "There will be others to help you along the way, but right now, the first step is being able to get out of here. You will never figure out where you want to go next as long as you are in this place." She drew her blades back all the way, letting them break apart and then dissolve against her scales. "Come with us."

"We're coming." The RainWing nodded, a wary look in his eye as he took a step towards the door.
He glanced at the tall, dark woman, who gave him the smallest, approving nod as he passed through the doorway.

Fracture followed behind the RainWing, her expression softening when he tilted her head towards her, his legs shaking with every step.
Owens seemed to finally have her nerves under control as she started down the hallway beside Tobias, making their way towards the truck yard.

Totally!

Sure!

“Disabled or impaired-”What was that supposed to mean? Was his son a cripple? Or worse?
“Yeah….sure… I’ll keep an eye on em.” He responded, his voice sounding distant, his eyes glazed over slightly. He herded the group of dragons out and into the hallways, following whoever seemed to be part of Eclipses group, but not eclipse herself.

Tobias glanced back at the red dragon, then to Owens, who was wiping blood from the back of her neck.
"Oh, you're bleeding." Tobias said stupidly.
Owens hid a smile. She felt nervous to speak with Tobias. He was famous. Like, famouser than famous. And it was weird.
"Yeah." She muttered, glancing at her bloodied finger tips.
"Here." Tobias pushed her red streaked hair back, using his sleeve to dab at the blood.
Owens shivered, slowing down.
"Nono, keep walking, it isn't bad, just the pressure of the talons on skin. You'll have to clean it later."
She nodded slowly, "Thank- Thanks. You. Thank you."
Tobias laughed kindly, Owens cheeks growing redder by the moment. "Lead us to the truck yard. I wanna talk to him." He nodded towards Helios.

Owens took a deep breath, continuing down the hallway as Tobias fell in line beside the red SolarWing. Tobias was as kind as she had expected- maybe even more. She liked him.

"Helios." Tobias started, catching the SolarWing's attention. "Hey, my name is Tobias. I.. I know your son, Sol. I thought- maybe, you- you had, I dunno, maybe questions about him? Cuz, is be happy to answer anything. I'm sorry he's not here. But he's safe."
Tobias bit his lip. God, help him be safe.
