Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Guilt clawed at Eclipse's chest and she glanced at Bloodmoon again. He looked discouraged and Eclipse couldn't say she didn't know why. She sighed, running a talon over her snout before she laid back on the ground, still keeping her distance from the Nightwing.
"Did you ever think about leaving the Den before now?" she muttered, flicking a stray pebble that had been tracked into the transport across the metal floor.

(Oooohhhhhh, "the Icewing", good twist 😯)

Eclipse jolted awake.
Bloodmoons legs twitched and jerked, his tail lashing and his wings flaring spontaneously. His face was twisted in fear and pain and Eclipse could see the start of tears glittering at the corners of his closed eyes. He was muttering something, his breath coming in and out fast and making his jumbled words sound more like panicked hissing.
Eclipse pushed away from him to avoid getting kicked or knocked by one of his wings.
Three moons, was I laying on him?!?!
She stood up quickly, glancing around at the other dragons on the truck. A few of them were watching Bloodmoon, their faces a mix of disgrace and annoyance.
Eclipse ducked to Bloodmoons level again, gripping his shoulder firmly and shaking him gently.
"Bloodmoon," she hissed, shaking him a little harder. "Bloodmoon. Snap out of it, it's just a dream. Bloodmoon."

@Mary Poopins Love

Thank you, gotta include dragons he's never met.

"Bloodmoon, snap out of it, it's just a dream." How could Eclipse be saying this? She was dead. He opened his eyes. Eclipse looked down at him with concern. "What? Eclipse? But... But, you're dead." He blinked hard and bit his tongue. The sweet, delicious taste of blood greeted his tastebuds. Sitting up, he looked at Eclipse. "What was I doing?"

Nowhere. I Poopinized it.

(Sorry, I had to restart my computer because it wasn't loading the site.)

Eclipse quickly jerked her talon back as Bloodmoon's eyes opened, straightening again. "Of course, I'm not dead, why in the name of..." she paused. "You were dreaming that's why." Eclipse ran a talon down her snout, letting out a long breath. "You were just dreaming, calm down."

Bloodmoon turned away from Eclipse just long enough to wipe the tears from his eyes. "I'm sorry Eclipse. I'm sorry."

(we'll go with that)

Eclipse cocked her head at the Nightwing. "Why? There isn't really anything to be sorry about," she said, leaning to try and catch his gaze. "I mean, aside from waking me up, I guess, but that's not really a big deal..."
She swept her gaze around the truck as she finished, lowering her voice as she did.
Just try to keep it down a little. A lot of these dragons probably know you, and I think it's best that you try not to draw attention. There's no promising some dummy won't decide to pick a fight.
Eclipse directed her thoughts to Bloodmoon, hoping he was calm enough to listen for them.

Eclipse slid back to the floor of the transport, making sure not to get too close to Bloodmoon this time. An awkward silence filled the space between them and Eclipse fidgeted with her claws for a long moment, scrapping more of the crusted blood off her wretched talon. the injury reminded her of Neoma again and her thoughts drifted back to the night they were brought into the Den. She glanced nervously at Bloodmoon.
"So you have been in the Den a long time right?"

"Almost all my life, yes." Bloodmoon gave her a glance. No, not blood. The sweet smell greeted his nostrils again. "Why do you ask?"

Eclipse stared at the Nightwing in shock. She couldn't help but feel a deep pang of sympathy for him. And respect.
She had only been in the Den a few nights, and it had been the worst few nights of her life. Bloodmoon had never known anything except the Scorpion Den. It seemed impossible to think any dragon could survive there that long.
"That's awful..." She looked away, feeling awkward again.

Eclipse felt the scales beneath her eyes flare with embarrassment and she shifted uncomfortably.
Three moons, I hope he didn't just read my mind. It's probably just a guess, right? I'm a Lunarwing, so he'd naturally assume that... I hope.
"Well, I mean," she paused, forcing the nervousness out of her voice. "No, but, that's just how it is for my whole tribe. I'm nothing different or special."

"I think you're very special," Bloodmoon blushed. "I had Lunarwing parents though, adopted of course, but still..."

Now Eclipse could see the glow emanating off her warping scales.
"That's," she cleared her throat, once again trying to keep the embarrassment out of her voice. "That's... interesting." She glanced shyly at the Nightwing. For the first time since meeting Bloodmoon, she realized that something about the way he looked at her seemed frighteningly familiar. In fact, she could easily put a name to the only other dragon that ever looked at her that way.
She turned her face away from him, trying to hide her panic.
No, no, no, he can't get close to me. Three moons, don't let him think that way about me.
She shoved the thoughts into the pits of her mind, trying to smother them over with vague thoughts of the space around them and focusing on what Bloodmoon had said. She hoped he couldn't read them
"What happened to them?" she said, glancing back at him again, managing to regain most of her composure. "Your parents."

"Nothing," Eclipse blurted quickly, standing up and stretching. She forced her gaze to the ground in front of her, randomizing her thoughts as much as she could, forcibly turning her mind into a jumbled mess.
"I'm sorry about your parents. I suppose I can understand that to an extent." She sat down on the metal ground and curled her tail over her talons, staring at the furthest wall.

Great job you dummy. Bloodmoon sighed and laid back down again. Nice job blowing it.

Sunspot watched the exchange shamelessly for a few moments, ears pricked. Interesting. The NightWing seems to have a little crush on her, and Eclipse doesn’t seem to hate his guts…

She decided she’d be nosy about it later.

A few quiet minutes passed, then Fracture quickly stood again. "More people are coming." She whispered.
Tam waited expectantly, but no door opened. He glanced at Fracture excpectantly. She raised an eye brow, unamused.
"Hey," Tam started, jutting his chin towards the dragon, "ask him if he's seen Ferrin."
Fracture glanced at Jabez, trying to make eye contact.

Cap you could probably start something for the car-chase-thingy now
I'm a little bored
I have to orchestrate that? I mean- of course, yes, I get to orchestrate that, alrighty, hokay, here goes:

Owens followed the truck closely, not daring to let it out of sight. Fracture hadn't told her where Checkpoint One was located- it made her less valuable. More protected.
The car to her left turned their blinker on, and in an agresssive surge, Owens sped her car ahead, closely tailgating the transport truck, but protecting her position. She had no way of communicating with the truck driver, and she wasn't sure he even knew who she was.
Now side by side with the car she had half passed, her car lights reflected shining letters on the other cars side: City Police.
Her heart seemed to jackknife, and her foot instinctively moved to the brake, but bright lights suddenly flooded the interior of her car, and she quickly realized there was a second cop car behind her, light flashing. The truck ahead signaled to the right, breaking.
"Nononono," Owens whispered, gripping the wheel. She followed him, buzzing over the rumble strip, pulling to a stop behind the truck.

Did the transport truck pull over?

I'm gonna wait for @Mary Poopins Love
