Austin almost yelped at how close they got to the sides of the buildings. "Alright alright!" he whispered back. "Alright, continue straight and then in two buildings take a left." The large building loomed next to them and he could see through the windows of the commanders building. The lights were on, and he had to stop himself from panicking, remembering that they were invisible. Once they went left, he continued the directions, "Fly over the buildings behind the archives building and there should be an alleyway behind it. Drop into that and we'll keep the invisibility on while figuring out what to do next."

Whitestar veered left sharply, his wing grazing the stony ground beneath them before he leveled out again. He flared his wings once, using the momentum from their speed to angle upward without beating his wings. The smaller buildings Austin had mentioned whizzed beneath them and Whitestar swooped sideways, tucking his wings in and dropping into the gap between them. This alley was smaller than the one they'd started in, and he could only open his wings halfway to slow their dangerously fast and sharp descent.
The Icewing landed, much more harshly then he'd intended, stumbling forward from the impact.
"Alright," he panted quietly, unfurling his wing to let Austin down. "Now what."

Rereading through the Tortured Tobe/Top Gun and Poopins/Conflicted Kiwi/BM and Eclipse SHIPS has me DEAD. I should have quoted more bangers, which had me giggling, but these few I quoted above had me legit wheezing 😂💀

Austin slid off of Whitestar's wing and looked around. The alleyway was narrow and Austin could tell Whitestar was cramped. "You keep the invisibility...uh... necklace on." Austin looked up the building, searching for something to give them an advantage. He couldn't see any open windows but another idea struck him. "Whitestar, I'm going to go near the entrance to the alleyway where it opens up to the main area. I'm going to stay hidden though. I need you to make a loud noise back here in the alleyway. Hopefully, one of them will investigate the noise and then we'll jump him. I'll take his security clothes and we can sneak into the office." He walked through the dark alleyway. He could hardly see in the darkness.
Perfect.
It would be the perfect atmosphere to take the guard out. Though, he had to be careful. He had to make sure that the guard didn't make a sound. He also hoped that Whitestar used his advantage of being invisible to jump him and keep the attack silent.
Austin made his way closer to the exit of the alleyway and turned back to nod in the direction of Whitestar, at least, where he assumed Whitestar was. He braced himself for the noise and readied his muscles to jump the guard.

Whitestar returned Austin's nod, remembering immediately after that the human couldn't see him. The Icewing glanced around the small space, trying to find something that would make a reasonable distraction. The alley was lined with a few large, dark green containers, horrid stench wafting from their tops and stinging the inside of Whitestar's nose.
He slid his claws beneath one of the nearby bins and gave a massive jerk. The box was heavier than he expected, but flipped backward all the same, the hinged lids banging against the wall and the metal sides clattered deafeningly against the ground.
The sound echoed through the narrow alleyway, and Whitestar slid up against the wall, hiding even though it wasn't entirely necessary. He let out a slow breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He had rarely ever experienced this sort of danger or adventure in his life, and the thought of breaking into the Scorpion Den of all places had never crossed his mind. He prayed silently that he wouldn't mess up the mission. Who knew what sort of horrid future would result from that.

Cap, if you are bored you can just write Vel arriving at the checkpoint or flying there, or we could plan to meet up with Kiwi's characters, but MJ isn't gonna be on for a while and her dragon is kinda in charge of the checkpoint so we should probably hold off on them arriving

Because I knew literally nothing about you and that's probably the one word I would have chosen to describe you at the time, but after actually meeting you outside of the rp, my opinion has been deeply adjusted 😂
