Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Tobias stopped, turning back to the dragon with a half smile, trying to piece together his gruff, fast words.

"Oh!" Tobias laughed, grinning kindly. "Yes. Verrry bad." He replied in Dragon, hoping his accent wasn't too thick. "Do you speak English?" He asked in Dragon as he turned back to the freezer, heaving the top open with a loud creak.
“It’ll be easier if I say no.” Shrike said plainly in Dragon, tracking Tobias’ movements. “You sound like you got drunk last night, then went out and got high on a cactus. Oh, your accent’s awful by the way, too.”
YAH-ELL.

THEY GET CAPTURED- AND END UP FIGHTING SOL, SHRIKE, KAPOK, AND THEONENAMEICANNEVERREMEMBER IN THE SCORPION DEN.
Sounds like Dread. Dred.
Dred is Dred-ful scary. Mwaha.

Tobias grimaced, pulling several frozen bags of meat out of the freezer and lugging them towards the dragons. "Sorry, I, uh, didn't get that last part." He apologized, dropping the meat below the cages and kneeling to cut the netting.
"Also- guys, um," he switched to Dragon, "It is cold," he motioned to the meat, "I am sorry." Tobias shrugged, going back to English, "I don't know how I'd say this in Dragon- but, like, I asked the dude to put this stuff out to thaw, but.. he did not. Yay."
He picked up a hunk of meat, most likely chicken, inspecting it with a critical eye. "If you are hungry, eat. If you are not very hungry, wait." He said in Dragon, this switched back to English, "This stuff is old. There's a little mold nation right.. here." He tabbed the frozen meat. "Can't believe they feed this stuff."
He sighed, standing slowly and whiping his hands on his pants. "Hoookay, who wants breakfast?"

Shrike grimaced at the cold meat. “Aw, fantastic,” he said in Dragon, staring at the frozen chicken in disgust. “He wants ta poison us after making us suffer from brain freeze. This might sound a little crazy, but I think I’ll pass. I’ll wait until I’m good an starving ta risk that stuff.” The CloudWing turned around in his cage and flopped to the hard metal floor, trying to ignore his complaining stomach.

Tobias smiled sadly, walking around so that he was in the center of all three cages, then sat down, crossing his legs neatly as he reached into his pocket.
"Good, small food." He encouraged in Dragon, holding a piece of jerky out to the CloudWing.
"I'll get you some real stuff this afternoon," he said in English, "Promise."

Shrike was confused why Tobias was acting.. friendly. However, his pride made him ignore the proffered jerky. He huffed a vaporous breath out, turning his head to the away.

Tobias laughed, taking a bite out of the dried beef. "See, man? It's stupid good."
He studied the CloudWing carefully, intrigued by his rebellious attitude. The dragon was small and missing quite a few feathers in patches throughout his body- not a good sign.
"Are you sick, bud?" Tobias asked gently, offering the jerky once again.

Shrike pushed his face through the bars and snapped at the meat, narrowly missing Tobias’ fingers. He ate it in a few quick bites and turned around, his back once again facing the man. “Cut the act and leave me alone now.” He snorted.

Tobias stood, leaning against the bars of the CloudWings cage, prepared to leap back at any moment. "What is your name? I imagine you do not care, but my name is August. They call me by my last name, though- Tobias." He spoke in Dragon, though he had to say 'imagine' in English, not having learned this word yet. "Do you have a name, bud?" He pulled another piece of jerky from his pocket, tossing it into the cage.
