Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

“I’m sorry,” Sunspot said, an edge in her tone as she felt her spines rising. “But you were the one that totally yoinked me into what- the rainforest? I was just minding my own business, enjoying my day, and you ruined it. So I think you can leave, as soon as you tell me how to get home.”
Eclipse scoffed, her wings flaring open in exasperation. "'Enjoying your day'? Tell me again how getting your tail hauled off to the Scorpian den by a bunch of dragon hunters is enjoyable?" She stood up again, her tail lashing through the moss. "I saved your sorry scales-- your welcome by the way."

“I had it handled!” Sunspot flared indignantly. “I don’t need any mystery moon assassins rescuing me.”

"Oh handled." Eclipse snorted rolling her eyes. "Yeah, because that's what it looked like. If you want I can drop you off at the Scorpion Den myself, and hey maybe even unconscious since you seem to "enjoy" that." The crest on her neck rose, her wings twitching in exasperation.

“Fine.” Sunspot grumbled, looking away. “Maybe I did need a little help, and now, thanks to you I’m stuck in this STARSBLASTED RAINFOREST-“

Smoke curled from her nostrils and she snorted, small sparks shooting out. “Now, tell me how to get home, please and thank you.” She gave Eclipse a sarcastic toothy grin.

Eclipse's tongue flicked out and in once as she stared at the Solarwing, eyes narrowed. Annoyance churned inside her like a storm cloud.
There has to be a way to keep her from discovering the tunnel. It could be my perfect little hiding spot--I could travel across the continent so much faster. I don't have to share that with some silly little Solarwing...
But how in the name of Pyrrhia am I supposed to explain how ELSE we got here?

She paused a moment longer, turning the thought over in her head. A small idea began forming in her mind, and she tried somewhat to suppress a sly grin.
She sat back down on the grass casually, wrapping her tail around her talons once more.
"Oh, I'll take you back to the desert..." she drawled slowly, inspecting her claws and chipping a small piece of flaked blood from between her scales.
"On conditions. As far as I see it, you owe me. And since you don't seem to have too much of a problem flagging down Nightwings anyway, you may be able to help me..."
If she was going to lose the secret of the tunnel, she might as well get something out of it.

Corvus whipped his head around, hissing. Phoenix jumped, her crest rising involuntarily, feathers fluffing all over.
Circus spotted the blue dragon, flaring his wing’s defensively, but a curious light in his eyes. “Who are you?” He demanded.
King motioned for them to come, but when neither of them moved he came to them. “You’re going to get caught again standing out in the open like that. Im King, the one that led the rescue mission to free you from down there.” He said, pointing to the compound. “And unless you enjoyed it there or something, you might wanna get as far away as possible before they catch you.” He told them, his attention finally being drawn to phoenix. “Especially you…”

Sunspot flicked her wings. “You looking for someone in particular?” The golden dragon narrowed her eyes.

Corvus spread one wing protectively to shield Phoenix from Kings criticle eye. “Where did you come from?” He asked carefully, trying to keep the excitement out of his voice. “Also, we weren’t trapped there. It was a coincidence we showed up at the same time as you.”

Phoenix poked her head cautiously around Corvus’ wing. She was shorter than both dragons, but Corvus knew she could defend herself if she needed.

“I’m from The Grebes Ne-” he started but paused, “are you not from one of the Nests? I don’t think I’ve seen you two before…” King was so confused, first it was Robin, now a couple of Cloudwings show up out of nowhere, one with what seemed to be burning feathers. “ is she….ok? I think there’s a stream over there if you’ve gotta…stop…burning..” king said, unsure if he was going crazy.

“She’s fine.” Corvus said firmly. “She just spontaneously combusts sometimes, don’t worry about it.”

Phoenix crept forward, a curious light in her eyes. “Nests?” she asked. “Like… societies for CloudWings? That’s a thing?”
