Sol gave a triumphant shout as he kicked his opponent again, sending the SkyWing spiraling against the wall.
The wild crowd erupted.
Sol was used to the noise, and he grinned arrogantly, giving the SkyWing a cocky look of boredom as his opponent struggled to his feet.
Humans shouted orders and insults, jokes and laughter ringing loudly in Sol's ears as he made another pass at the SkyWing, slamming himself against the brilliant red dragon.
The SkyWing caught himself nicely, and with a sudden burst of adrenaline, he turned and charged Sol, mouth open wide, but no fire emitting from the red dragons mouth.
Sol tried to dodge, flicking his tail at the SkyWings feet, but the dragon clipped him on the shoulder, a delirious look in his eye as he turned wildly on Sol, claws and teeth at the ready.
Sol ducked again, boxing the SkyWings face and sending him tottering back, a wad of saliva splattering to the stained floor as the SkyWing roared, limping farther back from his competitor.
The crowd jeered.
Sol straightened, giving the onlookers a few side eye glances. He enjoyed pleasing the crowd- and he was very, very good at it.
The SkyWing shook his head, shaking, possibly from adrenaline, albeit Sol had knocked him a few good ones within the last five minutes- it was quite possible this dragon was finally slowing down. The SkyWing swayed, his eyes locked on the ground as he gasped for breath.
Someone shouted- a voice Sol recognized so, so well.
Here is was.
The last move.
Sol hissed, though he kept his arrogant grin. He could feel the fire crawling up his throat, desperate to escape.
The SkyWing tried to shield himself, but the plume of fire engulfed him as Sol moved in, reaching for the SkyWings neck, and throwing him into the center of the ring.
More shouting- and Sol recognized the voice once again. He coughed, blowing out the last smocking steaks of fire, as he turned towards the crowd, searching the faces for anyone familiar.
A young man, in his usual place, gave Sol a small shake of his head, and the SolarWing nodded, backing away from the SkyWing, who lay limply on the ground, quivering slightly.
A door hissed open behind him, and Sol ducked into the clean, white hallway, leaving the loud, smoky haze behind him as the door shut with a clang.
Footsteps echoed down the corridor as Tobias appeared around the corner, giving Sol a wide grin as he joined the dragon, and they slowly made their way down the hallway.
"Nice work, buddy." Tobias congratulated, giving Sol and impressed nod.
"Yes." Sol agreed. "I, uh.. where'd you find this guy again?"
"Who?"
"That, uh, the SkyWing Trader. I mean, he just keeps coming with 'em."
"Buddy, as long as they coming, we fighting," Tobias laughed, saluting a few men peering into a well-lit cage, a terrified RainWing sulking in the corner.
Sol tried not to make eye contact with the colorful dragon- but it was too late. He jerked his gaze away, blinking as he forced a smile, and sighed. "Yeah, but, Tobe, they suck. None of his dragons have any chance against me, and he keeps sending the stupid things. Like, pair them against Alried, or Shrike or something. Not  me."
Tobias laughed again, reaching out to steady himself on Sol's shoulder.
He must be drunk.
Again.
"Nah, nah, buddy, I am making bank off this idiot. And you keep the fight interestin'- which is why he keeps comin!" Tobias burst out in laughter, slapping his knee as he spun abruptly towards a door, slamming his fist against the pin pad, then steading himself on the wall, pushing his forehead against the white stone as he plunked in the code lazily.
The door opened quickly, revealing a messy room, several books and gadgets adorned the living room, dishes stacked up in the sink, a few fallen chairs yet to be righted.
"Don't come out tonight, buddy," Tobias warned, peeking his head through the doorway as Sol gingerly stepped into their room, "Kelly's still here and he still stupid mad, I think they gone tomorrow, dunno. Nice work. Be back tonight."

Sol was thankful for Tobias. He truly was. No other hunter, trader, or fighter has ever sought to have such a relationship with their dragon.
Albeit Sol was Tobais' only dragon. That made a difference. Most humans involved with the Scorpion Den had at least thirty, more if you were into breeding.
But it was nights like these that Sol felt depressed. He couldn't put a talon on what caused him to feel this way- perhaps it was when he couldn't join the crowd.
He was one of the only dragons aloud outside of The Maze, one of the only dragons who could walk among the humans without drugs or restraints.
He had earned that title. And gosh knows he owned it.
So, maybe it was when he couldn't join the humans, of other dragons for that matter, when he was alone, and had no one to talk to.
Perhaps it was the sudden adjustment from the wild crowd and then their deadly silent, calm room.
Whatever the reason, Sol hated it. He hated nights like this. But tomorrow should be better. Tomorrow Kelly and his reckless crew should be gone, and Sol should be able to join the humans without worry.
The SolarWing sighed, stretching as he settled down, deciding to go straight to bed, hoping to wake up refreshed in the morning.

(TA. DA.. Oohhkkaaayyy
Lo. Siento.
And I truly mean it.
I think he just sort of NEEDED this intro. 4 years in the SD- he can speak English. Sol had a fabulous relationship with Tobias, who I will make a form for. It's just odd, goes against the rest of the RP, as most all dragons have seen humans as evil. This gives a different perspective.
Peace out.)
