Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

(I know, I know, the quotes are all messed up :/ )

Tobias moaned, sitting up slowly and reaching for his bag. He pulled out a large metal collar, grabbing one of the cage bars and pulling himself up.
"Yeah, yeah, dude." He answered Shrike through a sigh. "Just chill out, k? It's stupid. You don't even know him."
Tobias walked up to the LunarWing 's cage, holding the collar out. "I'll replace the band on your mouth so you can eat." He said in dragon, rubbing his eyes and looking away as he yawned. He leaned against the cage. "I won't hurt you. It's your choice, though. Come on over and I'll help."

Shrike stepped over behind Tobias, watching the LunarWing with troubled eyes.

Eclipse narrowed her eyes at the human, her tail lashing once as she glared at the hard metal band. Maybe the obvious choice would be to let him switch them out, but the horrible vibrating had made it impossible for her headache to go away, and she was certain she would go mad from the stupid devices. She glanced at the Cloudwing standing just behind him and the Leafwing watching expectantly from the side and then towards Sol. Somehow, all three of these dragons seemed to trust the human. At least, to an extent.
Her stomach clenched with hunger again, and with a low growl she paced forward and slid to the floor of the cage, holding her head out awkwardly for the human to reach. Really, what choice did she have?

Tobias, feeling utterly spent, gently reached out, moving his hands very slowly.
"You make a move, we're done." He warned, softly running the tips of his fingers down her nose, his other hand reaching for her neck. He twisted his hand, slowly closing his fist around the LunarWing's mouth. "Easy.." he whispered, maintaining eye contact as he pushed the collar against her neck.

Shrike stepped closer to Eclipse, off to Tobias’ right. “Hey,” he muttered in Dragon, “this scavenger’s the best you’re gonna get; so don’t, ya know, magically slice ‘is head or whatever.”

It took everything in Eclipse not to yank back away from him or snap at his hands. Even those his movements were gentle, they were painstakingly slow, and every nerve in her body was firing with the urge to do something, anything, to get the creature away from her. But there was something in the way he stared at her, holding her gaze, speaking to her almost like he actually cared. It was almost frightening how much emotion was held in his small brown eyes. Just that little bit was enough to stop her from reacting. She did, however, allow a low hiss at the Cloudwings cocky comment, which distracted her ever so slightly from the scavenger's touch. Finally, he let go and she quickly pulled her head back, opening and closing her jaws stiffly, and then yawned widely. She glanced over at Sol still lying unmoving in his cage, unable to suppress a twinge of pity for the Solarwing.
"What happened to him?" she said quietly, not directing the question to anyone in particular.

Tobias leaned heavily against the cage, stooping to throw the rest of the LunarWing's breakfast into her cage.
"He fought in the arena." Tobias answered, knowing context would be useless to the dragon. "He fought so that I could buy you at the auction."
He tottered, closing his eyes for a moment, then realizing whose cage he was leaning against.
"We'll talk later." Tobias said, pushing himself off the cage and making his way towards Sol. "Give me an hour or two. I'll cook us some real breakfast."
The man entered Sol's cage, resuming his position beside the dragon, placing his hat over his head.
"Wake me up if there's an emergency." He mumbled.

(We can skiiip ahead?)
