Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

(I'm not sure what to reply to bc no one is rly talking to Neoma atm, so she'll just do something and have someone begin ushering her to the arena.)

It seemed that everyone else was distracted and kinda doing their own thing. Taking a quick peek around her, Neoma made sure she wasn't being closely watched. Noticing Crest and Helios were talking, and Sunspot seemed to be distracted.
Neoma bent her head down and propped up one of the sharp spears, turning her head slightly and continuing to cut away at the strap.
It buzzed lightly and briefly as there was a small snap, and Neoma winced. The muzzle loosened almost imperceptibly, and she gasped.
To any passerbys, it would look like Neoma was scratching her face on a talon. Neoma glanced around, and stretched. The metal spears stayed hidden underneath her claws, but at least now she could move a little easier with looser muscles.
She bent down again, turning her face the other way. She drove the metal spear lower along her neck, knowing she should try to get it loose enough to remove in time.
She felt another buzzing rise up, and she clenched her jaw. She moved her jaw faster, praying it would cut the muzzle enough to take it off soon.
Just then, she heard feet approaching. She whipped her head up, and saw humans on their way into the room. She shuffled forward slightly, hiding the poles. She moved her lower jaw experimentally- if she tried hard enough, she could easily snap the muzzle. If she could do that, it would be all over.
She would be able to use her Warping. And use her teeth to bite off the straps around her wings.
If she really wanted, once that worked, she could fly away if she wanted... She could fly away and never return...
It was tempting. She might be able to get away. But what about the others?
What about everyone else here?
It wasn't a thought she had long to think over. One of the humans approached the cage warily, and she stared at him unwaveringly. He muttered something she couldn't understand at all, and began unlocking the cage.
Neoma held her breath. Was this it? She could get out, right?
And then it occurred to her. Play along. See what was going on. If things escalated too much, she could do something about it.
She could even use her Warping if she wanted, all she'd have to do is shake her head hard enough or pull on the muzzle with a free talon, and it would come right off with the damage she had inflicted. Satisfied with her choices, she let both curiosity and the humans pull her down a corridor.
A roaring began to grow louder in her ears, and her bravado and confidence began to melt away.
No. NO NO NO.
She began tossing her head back and forth, and the humans yelled and grabbed sharp metal spears and began poking her with them
NO!
Neoma wanted to refuse to go any closer, but when one of the humans zapped her in the side with electricity, causing her scales in that place to go numb, she shuddered.
It was pain here and possible death out there.... but also the same vice versa.
She took a deep breath and allowed herself to be shoved through the doors- and it was a solid wall of light and sound.
She squinted against the spotlights falling on her, and gawked around at the throes of humans sitting in a circle, staring down at her. Screams and cheers were constantly erupting into the air, and the smell of blood and sweat mingled with the odd smells of humans and other dragons overwhelmed Neoma. She gagged.
She bent her head down towards her talons, reminding her she had her band loose enough to remove if she wanted. She took a deep breath, and counted down from 20 in her mind.
When she looked up, she noticed something she hadn't before in her shock- A Rainwing in the arena, looking straight at her.

Bloodmoon struggled as the Rainwing locked him in a throat hold. He clawed at its tail. " Don't you think it's about time you pretended to die?" He snarled
Sparrow growled, "Oh, I won't be the one playing dead." He slammed the NightWing against the ground, tightening his tail. "Help is coming. Do not give up. Fight for what is right, don't turn against each other. We're stronger together." Sparrow recited the lines, sounding annoyed. "Help is coming."

"He was recruiting the three of us to come and help rescue you when the Nightwing patrol found us." Eclipse paused and then gave him a wry smile. "Isn't it all so ironic; He got captured while getting ready to save you, and turns out, you didn't really need saving." She nodded to Tobias.
"Honestly, I was going to turn him down at first. But he was desperate and I didn't want to turn away a dragon in distress. We were going to make plans to come here when we were so rudely interrupted."
Sol lifted his head off the ground, stars zipping in his peripheral vision. "He wanted to save me? He was coming to save me?"

Jyn cocked her head at the dragon, Qi'ra striding out of the gate behind her.
This dragon was terrified. Could she really take on two RainWings? But perhaps there were secrets to the LunarWing kind yet to have been revealed.
Jyn dipped her head again, flicking her tail. Her and young Qi'ra fanned out on either side of the arena, waiting for the LunarWing to make the first move.

Sol lifted his head off the ground, stars zipping in his peripheral vision. "He wanted to save me? He was coming to save me?"
Eclipse barely stopped herself from rolling her eyes. "Yes, as I said, he was already on his way when the Nightwings showed up. I barely managed to convince him to wait at least twenty-four hours for me to finish my trip. But he knew that he was going to need the help, or it would be suicide." Movement caught her eye and she glanced at the window again. Does every dragon in Pyhrria want to come stare at...
She peered closer at the glass. A note was pressed into the window, with writing scribbled on it in Dragon.
Do you know Neoma? Which way is she?
Eclipse stared wide-eyed at the note and watched as it vanished and a brightly colored face appeared behind the glass. She couldn't tell if it was a Rainwing or Leafwing, but she gave the tiniest nod. Questions flooded her head. How did this dragon know Neoma? Why was he looking for her? Why was he free in the Scorpion Den? There was no way for her to know which way the other Lunarwing was, so she shrugged ever so slightly before turning back to Sol.
"How did you get separated from your father?" she said, hoping no one noticed the brief exchange with the mysterious dragon.

"Nughh.." Sol groaned, "It was a long time ago. I've tried to forget it. I don't know. I blamed it all on him. I blamed everything on him."
Tobias tied off the last stich, biting his lip. "He... wasn't doing the best when I found him."
Sol sighed, long and hard. "Four- four years. It didn't.. I don't need him. I don't- I don't want him.. to replace.. Tobias."
Tobias looked up slowly, his eye brows raised. "We losing you, bud?"
"No." Sol whispered, his voice cracking.

Neoma stood stock still, her eyes narrowing slightly as another Rainwing stepped out from behind the first. The second one was much younger than the first.
Neoma glanced around again, taking in all the watchers. It clicked; she was there to fight- to entertain.
She wanted to roar- to scare all the humans sitting there and watching so nosily, but she couldn't. Not if she wanted to really take everyone by surprise... She would have to wait a moment. She would remove her muzzle soon, just not quite yet.
She looked back at the Rainwings, who seemed to be waiting on her to make the first move. She rolled her neck, her shoulders, and stretched her legs, knowing she was limber enough. But the little show of movements would hopefully make the humans think she was preparing herself. Subtly, Neoma shifted her wings. There was little to no resistance from the straps around them. She had just barely managed to cut through enough to snap the restrictions. But like the muzzle, she wasn't going to do it yet.
She stared at the Rainwings. She made a mental note to watch the younger one and avoid hurting her at all costs.
A sudden image flashed across her brain again- a Nightwing.
Dying. Beneath her.
Neoma gritted her teeth and shook her head.
Get a grip. You can't let yourself falter this time.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward. It was one step, but it made all the difference in the world.
She crouched slightly, coiling up her muscles to prepare for a jump in case it was necessary. Other than that, she froze in place impatiently waiting for something to happen. She knew they were waiting for her to make the first move; and she wasn't giving them that advantage.
All her years of practice fighting had prepared her... She hoped.

Eclipse watched the Solarwing blankly, pulling her wing up toward her side again. She stayed where she was on the ground, turning Sol's words over in her head. Tobias had said he couldn't live without Sol, and Sol was willing to choose the human over his own father. How in the name of the three moons can a human and a dragon be that close?
Sol seemed to be losing what little energy he had already, and Eclipse wondered if she would be able to get another word in before he passed out again. If that was the case. He was so unstable it was hard to know if he was fading in or out of consciousness or just losing the little scraps of strength he managed to collect.
"What happened?" she said softly to both of them.

Tobias raised his head, "What happened? To whom?"
He threw the stitching supplies into his bag, grabbing the rag and gently lifting Eclipse's wing. He stooped under, sitting down and lying on his back to clean the other side of the newly stitched wound.
