Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Neoma stood stock still, her eyes narrowing slightly as another Rainwing stepped out from behind the first. The second one was much younger than the first.
Neoma glanced around again, taking in all the watchers. It clicked; she was there to fight- to entertain.
She wanted to roar- to scare all the humans sitting there and watching so nosily, but she couldn't. Not if she wanted to really take everyone by surprise... She would have to wait a moment. She would remove her muzzle soon, just not quite yet.
She looked back at the Rainwings, who seemed to be waiting on her to make the first move. She rolled her neck, her shoulders, and stretched her legs, knowing she was limber enough. But the little show of movements would hopefully make the humans think she was preparing herself. Subtly, Neoma shifted her wings. There was little to no resistance from the straps around them. She had just barely managed to cut through enough to snap the restrictions. But like the muzzle, she wasn't going to do it yet.
She stared at the Rainwings. She made a mental note to watch the younger one and avoid hurting her at all costs.
A sudden image flashed across her brain again- a Nightwing.
Dying. Beneath her.
Neoma gritted her teeth and shook her head.
Get a grip. You can't let yourself falter this time.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward. It was one step, but it made all the difference in the world.
She crouched slightly, coiling up her muscles to prepare for a jump in case it was necessary. Other than that, she froze in place impatiently waiting for something to happen. She knew they were waiting for her to make the first move; and she wasn't giving them that advantage.
All her years of practice fighting had prepared her... She hoped.
Qi'ra and Jyn advanced on the LunarWing in sync, both moving to opposites of the dragon, both in perfect unison. Qi'ra shifted her scales back to white, realizing a bit of yellow was peeking through. Her ruff and the spots around her eyes, she hoped, stayed the same brown color she had practiced, but sometimes it was hard to control when her attention was so focused.

Neoma narrowed her eyes, flitting her gaze back and forth between the two Rainwings slowly attempting to pin her between them. One of them seemed to shift her scales, and taking the chance with her distraction, Neoma's small wiry frame shot directly at her with one lunge. She bowled the other dragon over, and as they rolled over for a moment, she shoved the Rainwing away and stood, thrusting her wings outward and snapping the harness.
Now, it looked as though the Rainwing had snapped her restraints... and her wings were free.
Neoma smirked at the Rainwing, flexing her wings and chuckling slightly.
One restraint down, one to go.

Kapok turned from where he had been, rummaging through the freezer again, to look at Dred curiously. He hadn't really been listening to the Lunarwing and Tobias, but Dred's question had piqued his interest. He glanced back at the freezer before slowly closing it and sitting down on the ground, turning back toward Tobias and the Lunarwing, his ears pricked excitedly.

After a whole year in the Den, suffering a dozen captors and hundreds of defeats in the arena, Shrike wasn’t sure what to believe; especially when it came to Tobias and his weird decisions.
“I dunno.” He said flatly, staring at the man’s back as he conversed with the LunarWing and Sol. The SolarWing had finally gotten what he deserved, Shrike thought, though he didn’t feel any sort of triumph in the fact.
“Something feels off.. I don’t trust this guy,” he said, “he can’t be all he says he is. His ‘ole nice guy act has got to be some sorta front. Nobody acts like this in the Den, I’m tellin ya.”
(While Sol and eclipse and tobe are talking)

Dred raised his eyebrow and looked at Shrike questioningly. “Look at him, Shrike. Even if it’s a all fake facade to keep us on our good sides and best behaviors, it’s better then ANYTHING else you’re gonna get in the Den.” He said seriously, his piercing blue eyes never leaving Shrikes. “Right now…it sounds like he’s your best shot for escape.”

King eventually left Phoenix with a kind goodnight and a smile, walking slowly around the towns edge toward the center. The sun was gone now and the lanterns lit the street just enough to walk at night comfortably. His talons clacked along the wooden floors that were installed in the team headquarters as he walked inside, the rest of his team had already headed to bed and he knew he should do the same. His bed lay between Herons and Redwings and he tried not to wake them as he crawled into it. He curled his tail around himself and pulled his wings in close, closing his eyes and sighing. He tried not to think about all the ways the day could’ve gone better, especially the parts with Corvus. Finally sleep took him and he rested, although not that well.

His dream came again of the hatchery. The egg looked so cold and lonely in the room by itself. The cracks and indents in the shell made King sick with guilt. He could hear himself talking in the dream. “Please be ok, lil egg. ….Gosh I’m such an idiot.”
The egg glowed slightly as he approached, wiggling for a moment. He stepped closer and put a talon on the egg, feeling the tiny *thump thump thump* of a heartbeat and the warmth of a dragonet inside. As his talons left the eggs surface, it seemed to glow ever so brightly, the light flooding his dream and causing him to wake.

Maybe I should check on the egg….” He thought groggily.

MENTALLY SCREAMING FOR SO MANY REASONS JUST FROM THIS ONE PART

Tobias raised his head, "What happened? To whom?"
He threw the stitching supplies into his bag, grabbing the rag and gently lifting Eclipse's wing. He stooped under, sitting down and lying on his back to clean the other side of the newly stitched wound.
"To Sol," Eclipse responded, trying to twist her head to look at the human under her wing. "When he was brought here. How did he get here, how did the hunters get him, and... just overall--what happened?"

“Don’t tell me what my best chance is for escape.” Shrike growled, keeping his eyes averted from Dreds’. “I could think up a hundred different ways to get outta here in the span o time it takes you ta finish a disgusting mud bath.” He sniffed, lifting his head. “Besides, I’m not workin with him or submitting to him like you fools are, I ain’t that easily tricked. I’m just usin him ta get outta here!” He gestured around, “I’m free an walkin around now, aren’t I?”

Jyn sprinted towards the LunarWing, her talons screeching on the stained stone. As rehearsed, she leapt onto the silver dragon, her talons clamping tightly around the LunarWings throat.
"Help is coming." She said gently, trying to be heard over the crowd, "Do not give up. Fight for what is right, don't turn against each other. We're stronger together. Freedom is not far."
Qi'ra stumbled to her feet bounding towards the SolarWing, and all Jyn could do was hope the little dragon wouldn't get the brunt of the attack. "Mock up the battle!" She tried, releasing her hold on the SolarWings neck, "Please, don't hurt her,"
