Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Eclipse turned her head to look at the two humans, huffing in annoyance at the interruptions. She needed to talk to Sol, but it seemed like these two were determined to interfere. "I'm willing to get out of here as soon as possible, but from what I know, you don't seem to have a definitive plan. It seems like you keep changing it and I am starting to doubt you actually know what you're doing." She paused for a moment. "And I can't fly, thank you very much." She gave Nic a toothy sarcastic smile.
"I don't know what I'm doing is a correct statment. But I don't think that the other people will do exactly what I want them to in time for me to make a solid plan. I normally just wing it, but then, I'm always by myself. Listen, Tobias. You're in charge and I'll keep my trap shut. And you dragon, I don't like the attitude. I'm trying to figure out what to do."

Bloodmoon didn't like what was going on here. He bared his teeth. "You. Shut up. That's no way to talk to a dragon. You'd both be dead by now if you couldn't set us free." He dug his talons into the hard floor and glared at them both.

Kapok paced quickly over to Tobias and the other human in excitement. He opened his wings and gave a couple of strong practice flaps.

Sol laughed gently as Tobias saluted Eclipse.
"Look," Tobias started, sounding exasperated, "Roe and I are working on something. In the meantime you go do... Whatever you do, and get out of my hair. Take the NightWing."

"You don't understand. I can't take a well known dragon and have it tail me. People are bound to get suspicious. He's not doing any harm here, so chill." Nic growled in an overly calm tone of voice. "I'm fine with getting out of your hair. But the dragon is staying here." He strode out of the lot and went to the saloon to get some food.

Tobias stared blanky at Bloodmoon for a moment. "So- you just murdered someone, and now I'm supposed to just let you chill here?" He paused, holding his hands up dramatically. "Okay, okay, I just thought- yea, I don't know what I was thinking, that makes perfect sense."

It had taken almost everything in Eclipse not to launch herself at the human when he replied. It was probably Bloodmoon's stinging retaliation on her behalf that helped stop her from potentially shredding the man. She held her tongue as Nic strode out of the lot in a flurry of annoyance, glaring dangerously at the human's back.
"I think Bloodmoon could be useful," she chimed in once that man was gone. "He's a fighter no doubt, and though I hate to admit it, Nic is right. He can't have a potentially wanted Nightwing trailing him around, not if we want this rebellion to stay under wraps. Is there a way to keep him here without anyone knowing?"
She glanced at Bloodmoon. I know you can hear me Nightwing. This doesn't mean we are friends or anything, but I respect you, and if we are going to get out of here, we have to work together. Just please don't do anything dumb. Let me do the talking.

" I didn't murder him, I killed him. Murder is taking an innocent person's life. He was not innocent. What do you expect me to do? Go rabid and kill your dragons?" He let out a maniacal laugh. "Kill you, even? I don't know why your so upset. I have killed many dragons, that's true. But I'll never kill another one unless it's to protect. Not for fun."

Bloodmoon calmed as Eclipse spoke to him through her mind. He gave her a look of gratitude. He'd already said some stupid stuff. " Listen, Tobias. I'm sorry for what I said. I've been called a murderer too many times. Never say that word to me again. "

Eclipse ran a talon over her snout with a long breath. Calm down Bloodmoon. Tobias is your only chance of surviving here. I know it's hard, but we have to do what he says for now.

Bloodmoon controlled his breathing. In, out. In, out. He closed his eyes and repeated these words. He opened his eyes and nodded slightly to Eclipse. Yikes Bloodmoon, this dragon is controlling you. But Bloodmoon was too tired to resist her.

Tobias scoffed. He strode slowly to Sol's side, a plate of grilled burger patties in his hand. "Hey, bud. Were you awake for the rebellion convo yesterday?"
Sol nodded, declining the food.
"Oh, common. You need energy."
"No, I'll throw it all back up. Just wait."
Tobias sighed, sitting down beside Sol, and setting the plate down at his feet.
"I want to get up." Sol announced.
"Oh, goodness, bro, just wait."
"Why?"
"Because- because you're leg.. and your shoulder-"
"For gosh sake, drop the whole shoulder thing."
Tobias half smiled, then shook his head, "Your whole wing was wrenched out of socket."
"And?"
Tobias sighed, dropping his head into his hands. "Do whatever. But we need to talk-" he slowly turned his gaze to Sol, "you could very easily compromise us if you don't decide to hop on transport. I'm not leaving you. I vote we go the truck route. We can help transport dragons out of here."
Sol groaned. "I don't want.. yeah, okay. I still feel really, really weird. I want to walk and see what happens."
"It's because all Sunday night you were dying in the Infirmary, dude."
"It happens."
"There was.. a wild amount of SandWing venom. You're still on some crazy pain meds and just coming off of sedatives."
Sol shivered. "Yeah, let's not do that again. Uhh."
Tobias leaned against the dragon. "I'm so glad your alive." He whispered.
Sol smiled. "Me too." He waited a moment longer, a smile creeping on his expression. "K, get off dude, I'm gonna walk."
