Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

The trucker gave Eclipse an unamused glance, his expression softening as he turned to the NightWing. "Anyone dead? The man's alive. But he needs help right now. The first Checkpoint isn't for a good three hours, and I have to backroad, which'll push us back horribly."
Bloodmoon growled softly. "Nobody's dead. We're good. Aren't there any medical supplies on this truck?"

Phoenix flew over Grebes Nest, catching a thermal and rising in lazy circles. Why was Corvus being so picky? Why should she care if he didn’t like someone just because he was jealous?

She gritted her teeth, smoke rising from her feathers. She assumed he’d stormed off to mope. Again.

Phoenix scanned the village below, watching the busy paths filled with scales and feathers. As she neared the center of the town, she spotted Kings distinctive blue feathers. She wondered if he was busy.

She spiraled down anyways and landed in the town center. She hoped to not draw too much attention to herself, and hurried up to King. She hesitated a few steps away, wondering if this was a good idea.
King felt a wave of heat pass over him for a moment and looked around, spotting Phoenix and smiling at her. At that moment, Knight poked his head out of the backpack and stared at the world he’d never seen before, blinking rapidly until his eyes adjusted to the bright morning sun. “Hey, good morning!”
Ferrin gave Rose a weary glance, trying to read her. Exhaustion tugged at the dragon's expression, her eyes appearing distant, unfocused. "It's okay, Rose." He assured in a rare, comforting tone, removing his glasses as he tried to meet her gaze. "We can talk once I've finished." Rose didn't need more grief to dwell on. Grief was a dangerous thing, Ferrin had seen it first hand- grief broke the strongest of men, grief broke heroes. The ever dwelling blame. The ever nagging regret. "It's okay, Rose." Ferrin repeated, putting his glasses back on in one swift motion. He squinted at her gutted leg with a heavy sigh.
After a quick clean, Ferrin wrapped Rose's leg tightly, trying to slow the bleeding. It was bad. He was quite certain she'd never walk on the leg again. But he'd know more in the lab, assuming they made it out the The Maze.
Gables had finally seemed to calm down, through he was still quite hostile towards Ferrin. As the doctor collected his tools, Fracture lifted her head from where she had been resting against the wall, her eyes locked on the door.
Gables snorted. "Let me guess."
She rolled her eyes, "Well, if you would prrefer no warrning, I'd be happy to oblige."
"Nono, I just don't understand how you can hear freaking anything in through a solid concrete-"
"It is the vibrrations, Gables." Fracture gave a small, condescending smile, nodding towards Jabez, who lifted his head quite suddenly, glancing at the humans before fixing his gaze on the door. "Perrhaps if you spent less time with your irrrational angerr you could focus on the prresent?"
"Perhaps if you had a spark of empathy in that big- barbaric head of your's you might understand this thing called 'grief.'"
Fracture remained expressionless, her gaze now on the door, and Gables scoffed. Ferrin stood when the door opened, watching with a slightly amused air as Tobias was dragged into the cell. Both Fracture and Gables hesitated, but when one of the guards moved to drop him, Gables stepped forward, sending Fracture an annoyed glance as he embraced Tobias' trembling body. The guards stayed for a moment, Gables staring them down as Tobias shook in his arms.
"What did you do to him." It was more of a statement than a question, every word a mix of rage and worry as Gables clung to Tobias.
One of the guards exited the cell, waiting by the door for his companion, who glanced at Tobias halfheartedly, as if he wanted to say something, but with a shake of the head he decided against it, stepping out of the room and shutting the door a moment later. The moment the door closed, Fracture rushed to Gables side, supporting Tobias.
"Gosh, he's dead weight." Gables grunted, taking a few steps further into the cell, then lowering Tobias to the ground.
Ferrin's eyes were drawn to Tobias' forearm, which was looking much better than before, though the skin had turned a sick grey, bruises forming around every needle puncture. Tobias' breaths came in short and panicked, a slight bit of a hysterical edge shaping every gasp, his eyes bright with fever.
Ferrin frowned. "Get him to calm down. He doesn't understand what's happening."
Fracture gently felt Tobias' blood crusted shirt, meeting Gables eyes. This was bad. This was very bad.
"I said calm him down." Ferrin snapped, reaching for his bags. "I'll be right there."
Tobias flinched at every movement, his skin hypersensitive to even the lightest touch.
"Tobe. Hey, Tobe." Gables started with an uncertain, comforting smile. "You're safe, man."
"I say we knock him out and be done with it." Fracture announced, and Ferrin sucked in a sharp breath, shaking his head as he opened Rose's cell door, "Ah, no." He gave Fracture a critical look, and she shrugged, rolling her eyes as the doctor slipped into the hallway, closing the door behind him.
"Tobe, calm down." Gables whispered, his full attention now devoted as he brushed sweat soaked hair off Tobias' forehead.
Fracture withheld another annoyed scoff, stepping back as Ferrin entered the small cell, grimacing. Tobias pushed his left arm tightly against his rib cage, staring up at the ceiling, chest heaving with every strangled gasp.
Gables gave Ferrin a nervous look.
Ferrin opened his mouth to say something, then stopped, turning to retrieve a bottle of water from his bag. He tossed the bottle to Gables as he knelt down beside Tobias. "Get him to drink that."
Fractured started to say something, but Ferrin interrupted her with an indignant huff, "I am not going to knock him out, if we can revive him enough to be half alive on our journey out of here, everything will be much simpler. With all the distractions, his finger print may still be in the database, and if not, he knows codes, assuming they haven't been changed."
Gables shifted himself over, leaned against the wall, and propped Tobias' head on his lap. Tobias had finally begun to calm, his breathing evening out, the unfocused haze in his eyes dissipating.
Ferrin began to unbuttoned Tobias' shirt, pausing when a hand gripped his shoulder. He glanced up at Fracture with a slight groan of annoyance. "What."
"When arre we escaping?"
"Once the chaos slows down, you lot will have The Den's full attention. We leave tonight."
"Impossible. Look at Rrose. Tobias is dying."
Ferrin sighed. "We don't have a choice."
"I-.. how on earrth.."
Ferrin's attention turned back to Tobias. "I don't know."
Rose forced her eyes open, blinking away the exhaustion.
Why am I so tired?
She glanced at her leg thoughtfully, and realized she’d lost a huge amount of blood.
Blood loss…gah.
It was true, she wasn’t fit to escape at the moment, but did they really have a choice? And Tobias couldn’t be kept in the cold jail cells much longer without suffering fatal consequences.

This is way too long, sorry.
No worries!

Sorry I took so long!

Bloodmoon growled softly. "Nobody's dead. We're good. Aren't there any medical supplies on this truck?"
Eclipse snorted, jabbing Bloodmoon in the side with one claw to get him to move over.
"Actually, some is dead," she said bitterly, pointing over her shoulder at Owen's limp body. "Owens got shot right after we started again."

The trucker swore. "Ehh, I have a first aid kit. Here, comon out and grab your man, I'll get the kit. The sooner we get moving the better." He motioned Bloodmoon out of the truck. "Is anyone badly hurt? No one's dying, right?"

The trucker's eyes widened and he swore and swore and swore. "Hey! Don't- move. No. Nono, stay there." Bleeding out in his passenger seat was bad enough, but coughing up blood? This man was dead in the trucker's book, and the thought of sitting beside a dead man for three hours made him swear again.
Something caught his eye further up the highway. A bright light illuminated the cars whizzing by, and the trucker slowly looked up, his jaw setting in determination once he saw the helicopters. The other trucks had been much more fortunate then him. While they escaped, The Den focused on the Rally- but now he had their full attention. At least he had the LunarWing. She seemed special.
The trucker exited a mile out from the helicopters, squinting as he drove smoothly down the exit ramp. This night, the Scorpion Den was particularly active. He'd never seen so many awake at two in the morning, but he supposed such things were to be expected.
Further down the ramp he noticed a police car drive into the left turn lane, his sirens off. The car pulled over, lights vanishing, now next to invisible in the night air.
With calm determination the trucker flicked on his right turn signal. He tried to stay relaxed, but it was hard not to imagine the officers gun trained on his head as he waited. The man in the passenger seat slumped against the window, and the trucker swore, tempted to see if he was still alive, but also quite disturbed and quite distracted as he hugged the curb, turning into the right lane and entering into the little town of Corse, strictly built for fuel fifteen years ago, but growing at an incredible population rate. A storage complex sat in dust beside the brightly lit gass station, and the trucker quickly turned in beside one of the storage buildings. He shut off the engine, his eyes falling on the man beside him. Oh, thank the Lord he was still breathing.
The trucker threw the door open and bustled towards the back of the truck, realizing the doors had been jammed shut, the lock broke. He rapped on the metal, trying to listen for voices. "Oi. Lemme in, all's good."

Cap needs excitement all the way through. Blood, check. Tears, check. dEaTh.... CHECK.

A faint voice and lots of swearing met Nic's ears. "Hey! Don't move." Nic obliged, already feeling nauseous from moving. Cool glass touched his burning skin and he stayed still. A door opened and the driver walked out. Dark seeped into Nic's vision before he blacked out.

He played in The Greatest Showman right? Why am I Zack Efron? @_-Captain BRM-_ Matt@
Sorry, had to see if this would work.

PRTTy much the same, its 80 rn, and its been 90 all week, I am dying!
I love the heat as long as it’s dry, I’m like a friggen desert lizard. I would take 90° heat over freezing cold any day. I can just ignore the heat as long as it’s not humid. I’m just that good
The truck accelerated suddenly and Bloodmoon stumbled, tumbling into another dragon. "Sorry," He muttered. Gunshots rang out and pinging sounds as they hit the back of the truck. "Eclipse, over here." She was too close to the back. He didn't want her getting hit. Sirens wailed and he whimpered quietly.

Eclipse shut the door quickly as the truck rushed down the roads. "Eclipse, what's happening?"

Sorry if that wasn't good enough, I can edit if needed.

Someone was knocking on the door. Bloodmoon got up and weaved his way through the dragons toward the door. A voice called to them through the truck door. Glancing back at Eclipse, he opened the door a crack and sighed. It was the truck driver. "Come on in, or you know, whatever you want to do."

Eclipse hissed loudly as Bloodmoon started to open the door.
"No, you numbskull there going to-"
The door opened a little wider and Eclipse recognized the human she'd seen with Owens before the chase had started. Her night vision was exceptionally sharp now that she'd been inside the truck for a while. Only one of the small lights in the transport hadn't been shot out.
"What." she snapped at the human, her irritation growing as the throbbing pain in her forearm increased.

(yes i know, not my best write, but ya know, emergencies rn)

That's okay. :hugs

Bloodmoon ignored Eclipse's warnings and whispered to the human, "Sorry about the LunarWing. Are you okay? What about the human I brought?"

The trucker gave Eclipse an unamused glance, his expression softening as he turned to the NightWing. "Anyone dead? The man's alive. But he needs help right now. The first Checkpoint isn't for a good three hours, and I have to backroad, which'll push us back horribly."

Sunspot eyed the human male suspiciously, hanging back from the others. She couldn’t see well in the dark, and the dim lighting only seemed to make things more confusing.

She did find it amusing how Bloodmoon felt he had to protect Eclipse. The LunarWing could take care of herself, Sunspot knew that.

“Oh!” Said Phoenix in surprise, peering at the little silver dragonet. “You have a dragonet! I don’t recognize the tribe. An IceWing/NightWing hybrid maybe…?”

Eclipse snorted, jabbing Bloodmoon in the side with one claw to get him to move over.
"Actually, some is dead," she said bitterly, pointing over her shoulder at Owen's limp body. "Owens got shot right after we started again."

Bloodmoon snarled at Eclipse as she practically impaled his side. "Sorry your majesty, I didn't realize that your huge body needed so much space." He gasped as he realized what he had just said. "Eclipse, I'm sorry. I don't know why I just said that."
The trucker swore. "Ehh, I have a first aid kit. Here, comon out and grab your man, I'll get the kit. The sooner we get moving the better." He motioned Bloodmoon out of the truck. "Is anyone badly hurt? No one's dying, right?"
Bloodmoon took one last look at Eclipse and hopped out of the truck. Walking over to the passenger side, he opened the door gently. Holding out his talons, he carefully slid Nic onto them. Using his wings as front legs, he walked over to the driver. The sweet smell of blood wafted up and Bloodmoon licked his lips. Snap out of it Bloodmoon. This human needs help, he doesn't need to be eaten. "Can I help?"
