Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Helios’s brow furrowed deeply, an unsettled look appearing on his face as he glanced up at his son.
“It really is. No one deserves to be treated like that, taken captive and forced to fight. Forced to accept life as a slave. Or as entertainment.” He finished.
"Right, a- absolutely." Sol agreed quickly. His gaz lifted when the roar of an engine echoed through the sand ridden valley. Tobias could be in that transport. But the last one wasn't due in for a couple hours yet. Trying to keep his hopes low, Sol turned back to Helios. "So- are you going.. to go back home? After this?"
Rose took his word for it and moved onward, forcing herself not to gasp in pain. Unsteady breaths shook her body. The hallway was long and gray, seeming to go on forever, but Rose knew it was just the loss of so much blood affecting her vision. A small green shoot poked through the concrete, her Leafspeak sceaminh inside her head.
WATER…..SUNLIGHT….NEED…

But she knew the little seedling would never grow, it would shrivel up and die. This prison draining the life out of it.
She had to get out. Rose pushed herself harder, using her wings to steady herself better.
One of the guards held the elevator door open, motioning Rose inside, the humans following. Ferrin's prediction was incorrect- Tobias was still responsive. His breathing was even. His eyes, awake. But his strength and energy were no longer present.
As the elevator began to move, Ferrin studied the two again. Now that they were standing, he realized Gables was taller than Tobias, he had maybe three or four inches on the man.
The elevator halted, the doors sliding open. Gables started out of the elevator, and Tobias faltered, knuckles white as he clung to Gables' shirt. "I'm gonna throw up." Fortunately he had a moment to get his bubbling stomach under control as Rose hobbled out of the elevator.
"Tobias, I've got to keep walking." Gables warned him as the group started down the hall.
Tobias gave a tired nod, now fully unable to keep his feet beneath himself. Gables slid an arm beneath Tobias' legs, picking him up in strong arms. Tobias proceeded to faint, and Gables grunted, his dead weight significantly harder to manage.
Ferrin kept his focus on Rose, trying to calm his nerves. He relaxed as they entered into the truck yard. A truck waited for Rose. A limousine waited for the humans. The guards helped load Rose into the truck.
Gables waited to follow Ferrin's lead, confused as the guards left the truck yard, leaving just Gables, Tobe, and Ferrin as Rose's truck pulled out.
"What- what are we waiting for, Ferr?" Gables asked hesitantly.
Ferrin rolled his eyes, "No nicknames, Gabe. Driver's late."
"Driver?"
"I don't drive." Ferrin drawled in a bored tone. He move to Gables side, pushing Tobias' sweaty hair back, placing the back of his fingers across Tobias' forehead. He frowned.
"You can't drive?" Gables asked quietly.
"I never said anything of the sort."

(Okay, okay, WAT IF the Austin and Alyssa and Whitestar and the, uh, other ones I can never remember group find them waiting or something, and then maybe they have questions about what happened last night, I dunno, but if we can finally connect the groups in some way, that would be sick.)

Ok! Yeah! I love that idea! But, before I rp that part, I should probably wait for Harmonylight to answer. Oooooor, Austin could just leave the two dragons and go find those three lol XD

Name: Sage
Gender: Male
Age: 21

Physical Appearance: Human-like form. Stands like a humanoid and walks similarly, but also hunches over slightly when walking, however he can stand upright if he wants. It’s more natural for him to walk slightly hunched though. Black scales cover his whole body. Legs are shaped like a dragon’s back legs. Feet are talons of a dragon and large black claws extend from them. He usually wears brown trousers with a black belt at the top. A black-colored metal chest plate kind of top covers his broad build. Large shoulders make there way to muscular arms. However, he’s not huge kind of muscular. Very lean and muscular. An ideal soldier. His hands resemble claws, but still work with the same versatility as hands, and they are much bigger than normal human hands. Smaller claws at the end of his fingers glint in the light. A muscular neck makes way to a human-shaped head. He has jagged teeth like that of a dragon and a snake-like tongue. His blue eyes are human, but the pupils are snake-like. Straight, black hair falls down to his shoulders and is slightly unkempt when he’s casual. His large, black wings connect to him at about the shoulder blades on the back. Dragon horns sprout from his head and aren’t overly huge but still very noticeable.

Personality: Dark and keeps to himself. Follows orders from Vulture and doesn’t think he has any other purpose in life than to serve the cloudwing rebellion cause. He’s been broken by the cloudwings and so is very quiet and reserved. Secretive and will only talk to you if necessary. Sometimes goes on a crazy animal instinct mode if prompted to do so. Also very smart and calculating.

Backstory: Taken as a young boy, Sage was brought to the Scorpion Den when he was only 8. He was taken from the Scorpion Den along with other humans and dragons alike and brought to the cloudwing rebellion camp. He was raised and trained around the others who were taken with him. They were taught everything that the cloudwings knew. Eventually, humans came in to teach them as well and they were constantly learning. They were also trained ruthlessly to be fit and perfectly healthy. He made some friends, but they were encouraged and taught to never have friends. That everyone could betray you. They were also taught that Queen Cirrus was evil and that she should be overthrown. Teachers taught them that Vulture had the abilities and even the right to be on the throne and they began believing it. If the students went against what the teachers said or they weren’t doing well, they were punished…severely. Broken, Sage eventually went with what they were telling him to do. Memories of his previous life slowly fading to the back of his mind. When he was 18, he was taken down into the scientist’s lab that he had been into many times before to be checked and analyzed with his progress. During this trip, however, he was restrained and sedated. Several horridly painful experiments were done and he almost died several times. However, eventually, they hit the answer and Sage woke up one morning in pain, but he was covered in scales and had wings and claws. Unable to deal with the monster he’d become, he turned inward and never looked outward again. He was hideous, but soon he saw others like him. He had been the key. They’d stumbled upon the answer with his experiment. Before long, he was surrounded by creatures just like himself and they were being trained everyday how to deal with their new abilities. Now a renowned member of the army, he is sent out to do Vulture’s bidding.
Is everyone ok with this character because I really want to rp him lol

Sage stared at his wall. Darkness filled his room. The stone walls almost as if they were caging him in.
A knock sounded at his door and he could only imagine who it was. “Enter,” his quiet and rough voice called. He cringed and hid his face as light from the hall entered his room. A tall, thin man entered the room. Black facial hair outlined his mouth and ran up the sides of his head to his neat hair. Silver streaks danced through his hair giving him a look of experience and age. His brown eyes were hardened and his face showed many years of weary training and struggles.
“Sage,” the man began, “why do you keep it so dark in your room? Add a little light.”
Sage just grunted in response and continued to stare at the wall. “What is it this time, Tanner?”
Tanner shook his head, “Just like you. Always getting to business immediately.” Seeing Sage unresponsive to his comment, he just continued, “Vulture wants to see you. I’m assuming he has another mission for you and your group.” He walked back towards the door. “Also, you have another appointment today. Go there whenever you can, but make sure you go before you start on that assignment Vulture will give you.”
Sage nodded his head, the unkempt black hair ruffling. He stood from sitting on his bed, his 8 foot frame towering over Tanner. Sage rolled his shoulders and stretched himself. His wings opened and filled the room.
Before leaving, Tanner looked back into the room. “And, Sage, do freshen up a bit before meeting with Vulture.” With that, he closed the door and left.
Sage was left alone - just the way he wanted it. Now stretched, he went to his dresser and grabbed a comb to quickly straighten his hair. He hated having to keep himself nice, but he was in a military operation and so had to not look like a wreck. Combing around his horns, he finally got the hair to stay and made his way to the large door. The room was made for him and so was larger than most of the rooms there.
Stepping outside, he glanced at the guards stationed at his door. The ever constant guard. They still don’t trust me…. He made his way down the hall, thinking about who he would take with him on this next mission. In the large hallway, he stretched his wings more and shook himself awake. Passing the stairs leading down to the scientist’s lab, he heard screaming. Something he’d gotten used to over the years. A soldier he recognized from doing a mission with him came up the stairs, a sober look on his face. “Sage, I have some bad news.”
Sage turned towards him, his serpent-like eyes fixed on the human. “Yes?”
“Most of the experiments from your team don’t seem to be doing well. The scientist doesn’t know why they aren’t working. You seem to still be doing fine, though. He’s going over the calculations and all the evidence from before to see what he did differently with you to make the correction.”
Sage merely grunted in response. He’d had this happen before. Several batches of the experiments had already died, but he’d been fine. At least, that’s what the scientist said.
“I’ll find some new ones to bring with me on my mission,” his quiet voice hissed out. Continuing down the corridors, he made his way to where Vulture was. His gaze stayed forward and unwavering, but he noticed the stares that the soldiers he passed gave to him. The stares. There were always stares. He'd gotten used to it, but sometimes it just annoyed him. He passed the training area and made a not to stop there and do some warm ups before leaving on this mission. The stares were beginning to get to Sage and he gritted his teeth. No, I will not allow it to get to me. Not this time. He felt his right hand twitch and tense in battle ready position and his left hand shot over to grab it, holding it in place. Remember, deep breaths. Don't let them get to you. You could tear any one of them to shreds if you wanted. He continued walking, his conscience screaming at him to leave and find a lonely dark spot. His training also screamed at him to keep a composure and a hold of himself. The war raged in his mind, but his face remained stone.
Finally, the doors loomed before him. Breathing, he knocked on the door, waiting for Vulture to allow him in.
