Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Sol picked his pace up to a brisk lope, spotting Eclipse on the horizon as he approached.
He slowed as he drew nearer, stopping and allowing her to close the final strides between them.
"I'm sorry." He said, quietly, his gaze drifting to the starry night sky above. "I didn't realize you were out here."

Eclipse gave Sol an exhausted smile, stopping in front of him as she dragged her talons the last few paces toward him.
"It's fine, you were looking after Tobias and your... friend," she said, trying to sound reassuring. "Besides, I've had it worse. What's a little walk in the desert?" She hesitated a moment.
"Is Tobias okay?" Eclipse didn't bother keeping the worry from her voice.

Sunspot jumped a little at the cold contact of the IceWings scales, ducking her head down to look at Shard. The dragonet seemed comfortable. Sunspot grudgingly dropped her wing slightly to shield the little dragon more.

“She’s fine,” Sunspot interrupted. But Sol seemed distracted and barely even noticed her.

Sunspot gritted her teeth in frustration.

“Yes, hELLO.” Sunspot said irritatably. “And I have a name. I’m Sunspot, not “the female SolarWing,” blazing suns.”

She lashed her tail. “Eclipse told me to come back. She would accept my help, and I’m not going to force it onto her. She’s a perfectly capable dragon and she doesn’t need someone with a worried snout such as yours hovering over her.”

Sunspot hissed as Sol brushed past and hurried out of the cavern.

She turned on Crest, a hot glow rippling down her scales. “He knows going out there won’t do jack squat, right? Eclipse is fine. She doesn’t need his help. She didnt need my help, and I DEFINITELY don’t need you accusing me of leaving her there.” Sunspot hissed, baring her teeth.
Shard shrunk down under Sunspot's wing, trying to move her cold scales away from the Solarwing's as the heat rippled across her body. She looked up at Sunspot worriedly as the golden dragoness's temper began to flare.
"When is Eclipse coming back," she breathed quietly.

having an original character is like they live in your head and you just- follow them around in your brain trying to learn more about them
This what I'm trying to saaayyyyyyy, I literally lost control of Ali during the whole showdown and Eclipse just doing her own thing now, I'm just supervising her XD

Sol turned, starting slowly back to the cavern, his eyes staring off ahead.
"I don't know."
Sol left it at that for a moment, then shook his head, releasing a quick sigh. "I'm so scared, Eclipse." He gave a gentle smile, cocking his head towards the LunarWing. Tears welled, and he looked up, still smiling, swallowing hard as his eyes wandered over the incredible, awesome clouds strewn throughout the morning sky. "I don't know what they did to him. And I'm so terrified that he changed. I'm so terrified that.." Sol took a shaking breath, disgusted with himself for releasing the sorrowful emotions. "That I'll lose him? I want him to love me still. As much as I love him. But-.." the red dragon gave a breathy laugh, looking down and blinking the tears away. "But he's different. And he's... in so much pain. His body, yes, but I think something ails him mentally. But I don't know what they did to him! I don't know how to fix it. I- oh..." He released another heavy sigh, his gaze on the cavern ahead. "I'm sorry, Eclipse." Sol briefly closed his eyes. "You didn't ask for that." He forced a smile, turning his gaze back the LunarWing. "I'm sorry."

Ferrin sighed.
It had been a long day. But it was good to be home.
He moved swiftly down the stairs, descending into his large, circular lab. Rose lay on one of the numerous tables strewn throughout the room, her dark eyes watching him advance.
Ferrin frowned, stopping directly Infront of the dragon, his right hand moving to the control pad below, releasing the restraints pinning the hybrid to the table.
"For the record-" he said, moving to the counter top to his left, "I told them to put you in the large lab cage, not.. this." He nodded towards a rectangular cage across the room, his eyes locked on Rose. "But now I'm here, so you're basically free. Yay. You can stop looking at me like that."
Ferrin held a small knife as he strode towards Rose's leg, cutting through the stained bandages. He grimaced, blinking hard as he retreated from the thick smell of blood. He studied the wound for a quick, silent moment, then slowly paced toward Rose's head, his shoes clicking with each step. The man leaned down on the sturdy table, silently setting the knife against the counted top.
He sighed.
"Are you okay, Rose?"

Rose sharped her glare for a moment, watching Ferrin closely.
The second the air hit the wound thru the cut bandages was like being shot all over again. She gritted her teeth and tried to balance herself with her forelegs, but they ended up slowly sliding across the metal tables surface forcing her to lay down again. Rose looked up at Ferrin, “No, I think it’s infected. It’s burning….a lot. You need to find a doctor or….something.” She said in between short breaths.

"Oh." Ferrin arched his brow. "I don't qualify?" He pushed himself off the table, moving to one of the counter tops. "I mean, last I checked, there is a 'Doctor' at the beginning of my name."
Ferrin glanced at Rose's leg, then let out a quick sigh. "Ok. Here's the deal- I'll fix you up. But I have a shipment you can get on tomorrow night, and then you're out of here. It'll take you to Possibility."
Ferrin cleared his throat, making his way towards Rose's leg.
"We have an alley there..." He reminded her.

“My mother did it, she escaped.” Corvus said, eyes narrowed. “But she is an exceptional dragon.”

Corvus paced around Sage clockwise.

“Cmon. Just let me go.”
Oh so I was right.... Sage thought, triumph turning the edge of his mouth just slightly upwards. "Letting you go is out of the question," Sage hissed. He wrapped his long, scaly fingers around the cold steel of his gun and took a step towards the cloudwing circling him. "Vulture thought you would be weak and that it would be easy to convince you..." He took another step towards him, stare still holding on the cloudwing's eyes, almost as if trying to peer into his soul with the glowing eyes that showed through the shadows.
"But, I guess you're more like your mother than he thought you would be..."
The scaly shoulders shook slightly again as Sage added, "Though, I do see some of Vulture in you..."

Crest felt the anger in Sunspot's voice as she tried to stop Sol from going out to find Eclipse. Does she even know who she's talking to? She can't talk to the prince like that! Crest patiently waited until Sol had left to answer Sunspot, his anger against her growing with every word that came out of her mouth. "I'm sorry, but you never told me your name, Sunspot," he said, desperately trying to not let annoyance enter into his voice.

“He knows going out there won’t do jack squat, right? Eclipse is fine. She doesn’t need his help. She didn't need my help, and I DEFINITELY don’t need you accusing me of leaving her there.” Sunspot hissed at him.
Crest's instincts were trying to take over, but images of the battle in the ring flashed in his mind and he took a breath to calm himself. This dragon doesn't know manners or respect does she.
He stood a little taller over the dragoness and raised an eyebrow (or the closest dragons can get to that lol) "The Prince is just worried about a friend is all. Can you blame him for wanting to go and check on her? You wouldn't-"
He stopped himself. What are you doing, Crest? He changed tactics, "You didn't tell me what had happened when you found her, so how was I supposed to know that she didn't want your help instead of you leaving her there." His anger was building up now, and he couldn't control his next sentence, "Though I wouldn't be surprised if you had just left her there."
The small icewing caught his eye and guilt entered his heart. This icewing didn't deserve to hear this. He closed his eyes and sighed, not able to look at Sunspot.
