Eclipse lifted her head sharply, a short burst of anxiety racking through her veins.
"Are you okay," she breathed, watching the human with worried eyes. She glanced briefly at the Rainwing dragoness standing close to her, feeling a little uncomfortable.

Sol leaned his head down beside Tobias, letting the man lean against him.
Jun gave Sol a knowing look, shaking her head as she pulled a syringe from the chest. "Eclipse? I'll numb your shoulder, okay? It's not going to hurt."

Sol leaned his head down beside Tobias, letting the man lean against him.
Jun gave Sol a knowing look, shaking her head as she pulled a syringe from the chest. "Eclipse? I'll numb your shoulder, okay? It's not going to hurt."

The ridge along Eclipse's spine rose and she tensed, her slitted eyes locking on the needle in the Rainwing's talon.
Again with the needles, she thought bitterly, suppressing a growl.

The ridge along Eclipse's spine rose and she tensed, her slitted eyes locking on the needle in the Rainwing's talon.
Again with the needles, she thought bitterly, suppressing a growl.

Jun hesitated. "Do you want me help? I won't make you do anything or take anything you don't want to. You can think for yourself."

"I think I'll be fine without the drug," Eclipse said slowly. "I've been through similar situations recently without needing any numbing agents."
She hoped the Rainwing would take it as she said instead of assuming she was a bit anxious of the needle itself.

The sun burned into her scales. The muscles burned in her wings. Exhaustion burned in her eyes.
It had been three hours. Three hours of flying through this forsaken desert, carrying a dying dragon in her arms, shear desperation urging her on.
But her body couldn't handle it. Not any longer.
Vel felt her vision spasm, and she flailed, feeling herself dip towards the sand. Exhausted, she landed, freeing the CloudWing from her talons, collapsing against the sand. She stared up at the blue, cloudless sky.

Alicanto coughed and gasped weakly as the pain in his throat flared again.
His eyes flickered, barely even showing the clouded blue irises, and he felt light trying to pry at his eyelids. He groaned and pressed them shut, letting out a deeper, shuddery breath, his mind growing numb again.

"Alright, Eclipse. Whatever you say." She set down the syringe, then pushed the chest back, moving to the center of the trailer. She motioned the dragon over with a quick nod.

Alicanto coughed and gasped weakly as the pain in his throat flared again.
His eyes flickered, barely even showing the clouded blue irises, and he felt light trying to pry at his eyelids. He groaned and pressed them shut, letting out a deeper, shuddery breath, his mind growing numb again.

Vel glanced over, just relieved that he was fricken alive. She rolled on to her back, wincing as sore muscles protested.
"Ay. CloudWing." She studied him closely, hoping for any sort of reaction.

"Alright, Eclipse. Whatever you say." She set down the syringe, then pushed the chest back, moving to the center of the trailer. She motioned the dragon over with a quick nod.

Eclipse stood up stiffly, gently nudging Shard and the Icewing shifted away, allowing her room to stand. Her muscles felt tight and her shoulder burned in protest as she limped hesitantly toward the Rainwing, signally Shard to stay where she was with one talon.
Eclipse glanced around at the transport of dragons nervously, hoping that most of them weren't watching her again. At least, she knew more of the dragons here. Sunspot was here again, and Sol and Tobias were too. The Seawing she had helped escape, Crest, and the dragons Sol knew or had met, Hibiscus and Cas, along with a few of Roe's Rainwings.
Eclipse winced at the thought. They weren't "Roe's Rainwings" anymore. They were on their own. Roe was gone now, and they would have to look after themselves. Even the ones who'd never been outside the Den before. Guilt tore at Eclipse's heart again and she glanced up at the Rainwing in front of her, hanging her head slightly and quickly shooting her gaze to the ground.

Alicanto felt his mind tugging at the sound around him. At least, the little of it there was. He mostly felt rather than heard. Or, sort of felt. Everything was blurred together and distant. The light and the noise and the heat. The unsecured ground. It was a weird mess.
His neck was burning again, and the image of Sol's dark silhouette above him, golden eyes burning with hatred, flashed through his mind, making him mentally jerk, his body only reacting with a faint shifting.
