Off Chick

i got ten chicks one Wednesday to replace ten that I lost to a dog on Tuesday. I had two hens left and they were both brooding buff orpington so I thought why not try to put chicks under them. I went out and got ten, probably week old or so chicks. One hen abandoned hers so now they are all being raised by Danica. But I stray from my point. There is one chicks I don’t know about. It stands around with droopy eye lids and it always holds it’s wings down. It had a case of pasty butt but I cleared it up. I was just wondering if anyone had experience anything like this and if I should do anything?

Definitely try nutri-drench which you can buy anywhere you buy your chick feed. and a chick boost electrolyte / vitamin water addition may help.

Thanks for the advice, but I am afraid it didn’t make it through the night. Will definitely try that if I see similar conditions with the remaining ones
