I set 22 duck eggs this morning to test out my incubator to make sure it’s actually working now 😊 It has nothing to do with an addiction to hatching. 😂
I’ll candle next week and people can pick an egg then. I’m guessing fertility could be down since it’s July, but I’m not sure. They’ve definitely still been busy.

This is correct. I’ll number the eggs when I candle and then people can pick one (or more) to cheer on.
I love this idea. Hatching season is pretty much over for me, but I'll do this when hatching season starts back up in late December/early January.

I candled this morning and have 21 eggs developing! I ended up with 26 in the bator… I counted wrong and added one a day later. So I tossed 4 this morning and think 1 more is not developing but it’s hard to see through.
I will number them and post a pic soon… ran out of time this morning. I intended to candle/label last night but came down with a cold and didn’t have energy.

If anyone wants to pick an egg to cheer on, here they are! I’m leaving ? Because it is hard to candle. 90% sure I’ll toss it next week. All the eggs are mixed breed, my drakes are Ancona, blue Swedish and a blue Swedish mix (Ancona or welsh harlequin). Hens are Cayuga or cayuga/ancona, welsh or Welsh Ancona mix, white layer, Rouen, khaki Campbell and blue runner. No clue which eggs are from which duck.

Don’t mind the low humidity, the ac is on so when it’s open it drops. It’s at 50% and 99.5 when I have the lid on.
