What blood line are your ducks from?

The pair I took are my first hatched ducks from my Holderread trio I got in 2009.

I have been wanting to get an order of fawn&white and penciled runners from them. Hopefully I can next year

Congratulations on your win!!! Have you got plans for the next show yet? I love shows- its as much being around the other poultry people as bringing home a ribbon or a trophy- but when you have great birds...show em off is what I think!!!!

Poultry09 I had wanted to start with F & W with my first runners- but now a few years down the track- I have my first ones. The two toned body is just so cute - you want be sorry when ever you do manage to get some.

When you are their and are showing your birds at a poultry show is it mandatory to be dressed up or can you wear "normal" clothes?

No personal experience, but I know in 4-H shows, black slacks and a white shirt are required. This is to prepare our youth for the grown-up show environment, so I would guess you should dress similarly. *shrug*

I've never seen anyone dressed up. It's not like showing dogs. Just wear something clean and neat. I'd stay away from anything outrageous. Blue jeans and tenny shoes will be fine.
