I just finished reading The Book of the Dun Cow and am reading the sequel The Book of Sorrows by Walter Wangerin Jr. Has any one read these before? I had read the second book years ago. When I met my husband he had the first book and had no idea that there was a second one.
They are about a rooster and his hens back when animals talked. It is basically a story about good vurses evil. The book of Sorrows has one of my favorite lines in it.

"Finally it was the women and the children who shared by nature the foundatioon of a faith, because faith begins in a weakness, and though every creature is weak, it is the women who are willing to admit it."

I think that is so very true. They are good books.

OMG, I just went there, and it is awesome. SpottedCrow when you said you were a flybaby, I had no idea what that meant! I had to join. Thank God I did my dishes tonight! I can get them into the dishwasher and running ok, it's just all the stuff that either is too big or can't go in the dishwasher that has to be done by hand. I tend to pile those up.

Soon as my dd gets home and takes the computer from me, I'm goin' to shine my sink!

My dh works outta town. If I really want something that I know he isn't for I just wait until the day before he comes home and start telling him how much I miss him and all that good stuff. The first day home I could get anything I want!!
