I can't tell for sure if it is or not. It probably isn't. We have a couple trumpet plants and I read up on them. They can actually be poisonous and induce all kinds of weird hallucinations and self-injurious behavior!

It's beautiful! I would guess your flower is some type of iris, BUT I am so not an expert in this area! The trumpet plants come in many varieties. I think most if not all are more of a climbing vine type of plant. Ours aren't blooming at the moment. If you are curious, google "trumpet plant". It's crazy what those plants are said to do to people. They recommend handling them with gloves! TY for the beautiful picture!

I've had a brief read and I have to say it is impressive what affects plants can have on humans. Even just from simply touching them!

I was actually kinda shocked when I read about the plant. One article recommended keeping them away from "adventurous teenagers"!

Glads were my grandmother's favorite flower...she grew dozens of varieties and even had special vases to display them in. The vases were fan shaped to keep the long spikes from breaking.
