Is it October or July????? I have a sweet iced tea on hand and the outdoor temperatures are above 90 in the shade - so I guess it might still be July. But I took this photo in the garden today!

The perennial strip at the base of the back deck. Lilies are my favorite ~ but, they last such a short time.

1964 to 1996
we had fig, pear, plum, pecan tree’s
and a scupadine vine growing across the fence

tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers growing in our garden

and across the street my grandmother had corn and potatoes and beans and all kinds of peas

I remember picking the fruit and vegetables and eating them on the spot

Entry #3 sweet corn. I have more growing too but I was able to get a dozen and am in the process of blanching and freezing the kernels. I love sweet corn in the winter!
