I have a coop
That never gets mites
The brooder section's
So cushy & nice

I play on chicken swings
& peck in the grass
I peck Roo's tail
Then I run really fast

They say I'm crazy
But I have a good time
I'm just looking for mealworms cuz they taste really fine
Life's been good to me so far

My Hound Dog schoolbus
can turn on a dime
I fell off last week
For the 10th time

I got a Nanny Goat
I Ride on her back
No one will hurt me
I'm safe from attack

I'm setting records,
My chick fans can't wait
They all called Guinness
Because I'm so great

So I got me a lunchbox
Of golden fresh corn
I am the luckiest
Chick ever born

Lucky I'm sane
After all I've been through
(Everybody say I'm cool, He's cool)
I can't complain but
Sometimes I still do
Life's been good to me so far

I go to parties
Sometimes until four
We party hardy when
They close the coop door

We are so happy
Don't need fortune or fame
We just love sunshine
& stay out of the rain

Chickens aren't lazy
Hens lay eggs all the time
(Hen chorus sing, Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah!)
Hand me some mealworms,
I'll peck gentle & kind
Life's been good to me so far....
