My Roo is so darn good with the ladies here, but he is wild one, not at all tame. I am ok with that, he is such a good boy with the hens

I agree 100%! Being an attentive and protective roo for the hens is a treasure. I have a few that are a little shy around me, but they really are good... and I’ve never been worried about a flying side kick or anything else! I even get to pet them sometimes. I do have one Serama cockerel that chases my muck boots from behind occasionally. I guess he doesn’t like the looks of them. Might think they’re competition! But, then I pick him up and he settles into my arms and cat naps.
