Not an entry, just one of my worst molters:

This looks more like damage from an overzealous rooster. I have many hens with bare backs from young overzealous roosters. Be sure to take the sharp points off the rooster's spurs or your hens will have tears in their skin that other chickens will peck at and turn into horrible sores.

Oh my! My girls have stopped laying and started their first molt, but holy moly! None of mine are real naked....yet!

Now she's sporting this look.
