No, 30 isn't a small order, but it has to be 30 LF chickens (well, 15 for the minimum to avoid the extra fee if I remember right). They only ship keets separately. Ditto ducks, geese, turkeys & bantams. So for each order of a different species/size class you pay a substantial (to me) shipping fee, plus you have to meet the minimum for that class of birds or pay more. Not saying I wouldn't order from them. They're a good resource and I've been very happy with them. I wouldn't try to discourage you from ordering from Cackle (aside from the fact that lately the post has been very unpredictable for many people here).

I've also been very happy with poultry special ordered from the feed stores and delighted as well, not to have the shipping charge and not to have to drive an hour to the post office and back at 0300. It's just an option people often don't think about or maybe don't realize is available, but really more convenient for a lot of us.

Oh wow didn’t know they shipped them separately. Hmm. I may postpone my order then. Mostly because my husband found 2 of the breeds I was going to order from them anyway. Now I only need Delawares but I can keep checking back to see if they have any.

As far as keets. Hmm... maybe I’ll return to my idea of going with that lady I had found... decision decisions
