If you are talking about the hatch rate from someone else's birds, Perhaps it is their breeder nutrition, not necessarily the genetics of those birds. When collecting eggs for hatching, I boost the flocks' nutrition about 2 weeks earlier and it really boosts hatchability.They’re free eggs. They’re in exchange for doing other eggs for them. Their hatch rates SUCK. And it’s not because of what I’m doing or the bators it’s their breeding stock. I have had issues with their eggs before. The ones that do hatch are pretty, but last time I got all roosters. I just butchered most of them.
