Olive eggs are a combination of the blue egg gene and the brown egg gene. There is no fool proof way to predict the future color of eggs from chicks that were hatched from olive egger parents. There are many threads discussing this that are available to you via the search feature.

Thanks. I was just seeing if someone had the quick yes or no. I‘ve read the genetics on it and stuff since I was going to sell some OE eggs but since they’ve stopped being olive I think I won’t since I wouldn’t want someone to be disappointed in the color their future hens end up laying.

I’m actually shying away from Olive Eggers and going more toward dual purpose.

The people that sell guaranteed olive eggers are typically selling hybrids that are a cross of Cream Legbars and Marans.
